Fallen Heroes Set – The Best & Most Overpowering Armor

The most overpowering armor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla due to one of its bonuses. But that’s not all; the best thing about this set is that it’s not situational, meaning all the stats boosted with the set are activated all the time. Getting the Fallen Heroes Set is no easy task, as you will have to grind for hours in the Tombs of the Fallen. As much as it’s time-consuming, it’s also difficult in those tombs. On top of all that, finding these tombs is a pain because they are not marked on the map anywhere.

The first bonus with the Fallen Heroes set gives additional armor and more melee and ranged damage. All of this doesn’t require you to do anything to activate it. Unlike some of the other end-game armor sets on our list. But the second bonus is what makes this set of armor the most overpowering.

Every time Eivor gets hit, he will drop an energy orb on the ground, which will explode and has a cooldown of 10 seconds. Paladin Set – Best Melee Armor

Paladins set can very well be the best Melee armor set in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The set is part of a DLC and is only possible to acquire at a higher level. Each piece of Paladin’s set is found in different regions of Francia, which are very difficult. Finding the set will prove to be a challenge, no doubt, but it’s fully worth it. Because, in the end, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is mostly a melee combat game. 

Wearing Paladins set grants you massive damage boosts, but attacks consume slightly more stamina. The damage boost you get is huge, while stamina consumption is just 5% which barely affects anything. Galloglach Set – Best Melee Resistance Armor

Galloglach Armor Set is a great set that wants you to be aggressive in order to be more resilient. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you will encounter boss fights, and this set is the best Ac Valhalla best armor for those fights. You can get Galloglach Armor set mid-way in the game, and most of your difficult boss battles will be then as well. Getting the set is not too difficult so that you will be hunting for it.

Iberian Armor Set is a great set of armor In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla but only for a specific advanced playstyle. And that playstyle is evasive, which consumes a great amount of your stamina. Hence newbies or intermediate players can’t handle it well.

That said, this set is part of a DLC so that most advanced players will be getting their hands on it anyways. Acquiring an Iberian set is relatively easy; all you need to do is find the merchant who sells it and get it from him. Unlike most merchants, he will trade with material for this set instead of silver.

The first bonus with this set is attack increases after each dodge.  Now, this may sound overpowering at first but keep in mind that dodging drains your stamina. You will need dodging skills to use this set to its full extent. The second set bonus is an increase in evasion and melee damage. All in all, this set is a great build for evasive players. But players not skilled at that might want to stay away from this set.

Byzantine Greek Set – Best Overall Armor

Byzantine Greek Set is a great balanced armor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that can be useful in all sorts of situations. The set wants you to focus on a critical build due to its bonuses. Provides a great combination of armor, health, and melee damage. Byzantine Greek set is easy to acquire since you need to trade at Azar’s shop. You will have to pay with materials for this imported armor, but it’s 100% worth buying. 

Every time you perform a critical hit, your armor increases, and that’s the first bonus for the Byzantine Greek Set. Just like some other bonuses, this might not sound impressive, but it is. Just imagine using a fast weapon and doing a good amount of critical hits, which in turn increases your armor. The second set bonus is increased health and damage with melee. All that makes up for a pretty decent all-rounder set.

Dublin Champion Set – Best Ranged & Stealth Armor

The best armor set in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for ranged and stealth damage. The armor is part of the first DLC expansion for the game, so collecting can be both easy and difficult, completely depending on you. Some of the pieces of this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla armor can be found in various regions of Ireland,  whilst others can only be acquired after the completion of certain tasks. But we 100% recommended grinding for this set of armor because it’s one of the best sets in the entire game.

The set has both its bonuses focus on the same thing, which is that your ranged and stealth damage will be increased. And since both the bonuses are focused on the exact same things, you can imagine the amount of boost you’re going to get with it. That being said, this set is not recommended for open combats because both of these perks are only beneficial when you take the enemy down silently or from further away.

Saint George’s Set – Best Damage Armor

A great specialized armor for specific types of weapons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This set is one of a kind in the game and has great perks to it. This armor was introduced in a free update of the game River Raids. Obtaining the armor is done during the River Raid, in which you will be looting the pieces of this set from chests. 

The first set bonus is your attack is increased after you have impaled an enemy. This bonus is pretty much self-explanatory. You will need a weapon, such as a spear, to use it. The second set bonus is increased speed without any condition. All in all, a great set with good damage and speed, but only for specific weapons.  

Raven Clan Set – Best Early-Game Armor

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Raven Clan Set is your first armor and is the best armor for the early game. This Assassin’s Creed Valhalla armor is more than enough to power through even mid-game and helps you reach end-game.

That said, in the later game, you can equip yourself with much better armor, so it won’t be a wise choice to stick with this one. When Raven Clan Set armor is equipped, the lower your health gets, the more your armor increases.  And the second bonus increases your crit chance. All in all, good early-game armor.

Huntsman Set – Best Ranged Early-Game Armor

The Huntsman armor set is one of the best early-game sets in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, if not the best. The armor’s main focus remains on ranged attacks and weapons with decent bonuses. The pieces of this armor can be found in some of the easiest regions in the game.

And so, getting Huntsman armor shouldn’t be a problem for almost all the players. So if you are in the early game looking for decent armor, we highly recommend grinding for it, but at the same time, it’s not a good late-game armor because you will get a lot of awesome armor further in the game.

The first set bonus right out of the box is your ranged damage is increased when hitting enemies that are further than 20m away from the player. It can be useful but also not because 20m is a lot of distance, and you won’t always be using a bow. The second bonus is your speed is increased, which can be useful in all sorts of situations. This set is mostly situational, but it somewhat creates a balanced playstyle, so it’s a good set, especially when you can acquire it pretty early in the game.

Brigandine Set – Best Defensive Armor

Brigandine Armor Set is a great armor for defense recommended for intermediate players who are halfway through the story of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.  Since the set is focused on a defensive build, it is not going to suit most of the advanced players. They are well off with any of the aggressive sets on our list. All the pieces of this set can be acquired at level 125 or above. So you will only be able to get your hands on it later in the game.

The armor is increased when the player is surrounded by two or more enemies; that’s the first set bonus. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, it’s all about combat mostly, especially for non-stealthy players. So this set bonus will be effective because most of, if not all the time, you are surrounded by more than one enemy. The second bonus is compliant with the first, which adds additional damage to the melee. All that makes up for a pretty decent and balanced defensive midgame armor set.

Reaper’s Set – Best Assassin Armor

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Reaper’s Armor Set is the best armor for stealth. Although other armors are great at stealth, we believe this one is the best among them. That said, this game isn’t as heavily stealth-focused as most others in the franchise. 

Still, you can get a somewhat taste of stealth if you are exceptionally skilled. Collecting the pieces of this set is a challenge or, rather, a pain. You have to buy each of the pieces after completing a Rebel Mission. If you buy all the pieces, it will cost you 2050 silver deniers.

The first set bonus will give you some health after every assassination kill, which is sweet. But there is no point because if you are in the shadows, you won’t lose any health. The second set bonus, which truly makes it stand as the best stealth armor, is that the time will slow down for a long while when spotted by an enemy. 

This may not sound as sweet, but in practical use, it is. It gives you enough time to headshot an enemy with a bow or assassinate. All in all, if you can manage to be in the dark, then go for it.

Wayland’s Set – Best Melee & Assassin Armor

Wayland’s set a great armor to have for a balanced build for melee and assassin damage, but assassin damage is not worth much in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Wayland’s set is obtainable in River Raid, where you have to trade this set with the chief. Keep in mind you will be paying with foreign supplies and not silver. Easy to get and worth it if you love assassinating enemies because most of the time, you will fail, and this set will save you.

The first set bonus is rather unique, which adds a bit of your assassination damage to melee. This may sound bad at first, but in reality, it’s worth it because, again, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a combat-based game. The second set bonus just adds some flat damage to your assassination. All in all, perfectly balanced set for assassination and melee.

Hidden One’s Set

The Hidden Ones’ Armor set is one of the hardest armor to get your hands on in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and well not really the best armor in any department. It does have some perks which will improve your stealthy approach, but Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a kind of game that forces you into unpleasant situations and due to that reason, fighting is inevitable. So, the armor is pretty much useless; the only reason it’s on our list is because of its look; the overall vibe from Hidden Ones’ set can be stealthy.

The Hidden Ones’ Armor has set bonuses that are mainly situational and not universal. Then the second one increases your Headshot Damage. Overall it’s an armor that only a few players can utilize; hence it’s not recommended, but if you like the looks, then go right ahead.

Magister’s Set – Best Night Armor

Magister’s Armor Set provides a balanced and decent damage increase for both Ranged and Melle weapons. But the one and only flaw it has which stops it from being one of the best armors is that it’s only useful at night, while Assassin’s Creed Valhalla remains the sort of game that you would like to play both day and night. Getting some pieces of the armor might be difficult and while others are easy.  The reason for this set in our list is mainly its look.

The set’s first bonus is when its night melee damage is increased, which is pretty much straightforward. Although you can meditate and switch to night most of the time, still who would do that just for a set of armor, especially when you can find better armor?

That said, if you enjoy playing during the night, then this might be a perfect armor set for you. Besides the situational skill, it has an increased ranged damage bonus. If you have time, energy, effort, and love for the moon, then go for it; otherwise not recommended.

Thor’s Set – Best Stun Armor

We have to say, it is one of, if not the most overrated armor in the game, but it does look super cool. But looking cool doesn’t fight your way for being the best, just like other armors we have on our list, which just look cool. But Thor’s Armor Set can be considered the best-looking armor amongst most of the armors in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and it does have some good perks. That is only if it’s used with Mjolnir, aka Thor’s Hammer. Getting the set is also a pain since you can only get it after the completion of the game.

The first bonus you get with Thor’s set is your speed is increased when you stun an enemy. Speed increase with this set is great, but it requires you to stun an enemy, which can prove rather difficult against bigger enemies such as bosses in the game. The second set bonus is increased stun, which just goes with the first bonus and makes it a little bit easier. All in all, not a great set, but it can be used with Thor’s Hammer to get the best, which we believe is the purpose of this set.

Arenhare’kowa Set (Vinland Only Armor)

Arenhare’kowa Armor Set is Vinland-specific armor, meaning once you are out of Vinland, this armor can not be worn. But since we are talking about the best armor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, this set of armor is a must to include due to its effectiveness and how easy it is to obtain. Once you reach a certain point in the game, you will unlock Vinland, and you can buy Arenhare’kowa armor from any shop there, with materials instead of typical silver.

This AC Valhalla Best armor set has one of the most distinctive set bonuses that starts recovering your health once it goes below 50%. If only Arenhare’kowa armor were available in other places, it would have been one of the top ones on our list, but oh well, Ubisoft. Anyways, the second bonus you get with this set is additional damage with ranged weapons. All in all, a very decent long-range armor set with a health recovery perk.

Odin The All-Father Armor Set

This spectacular armor set is built around the mechanical aspect of the new Odin abilities. This later helps you to use these powerful abilities to their full potential. The All-Father Armor Set is also for people who fancy ranged-centric combat involving bows.

Unlike other armor sets, you can obtain the All-Father Armor Set from Kara at her arena. You can find her in Svaladal. There, you can buy each armor piece for 1200 tokens. You will need to grind for hours in the arena and complete challenges.

Upon wearing the full set, Eivor has a 50 percent chance of increased adrenaline gain when hitting weak points or headshots. You will also be able to utilize your ranged attacks as the All-Father set provides generally increased headshot damage. Overall, if you want to feel like the All-Father himself wandering around defeating demigods in Svartelfiem, then the All-Father Armor Set is for you.

Hriedmar Cursed Armor Set

As it is mentioned in the name, the Hriedmar Armor Set is cursed. However, that does not stop it from being one of the most distinctive armor sets in the game. You can acquire the full armor set inside Hodda Shelter west of Eitiri in the Vangrinn region.

If you equip any two pieces of armor, it will bring your health down to 33 percent as a cap. Your evasion is also negated. Furthermore, If you equip the whole armor set, you are going to suffer a 10 percent health reduction every 3 seconds. As a result, you will eventually die. To avoid that, You will need to purify the armor set. You will have to socket five Motsognir Clarity Runes before you can equip the Hriedmar Armor Set. 

The Hriedmar Armor Set has some of the highest stats in the game. Eivor can recover 20 percent of your health as a bonus for dealing critical damage. On top of that, nearby enemies take damage whenever you use rations. Altogether, this is an amazing Armor Set that rewards you in the end due to its amazing perks.

Fire Giant Armor Set

If you want to storm around as a half-dressed warrior on fire, the Fire Giant Armor Set is for you. This Armor Set is a close-quarter and melee-focused build. You can pair it with a weapon that complements fire in a certain volume.

Fire Giant Armor Set can be a bit difficult to find in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You will need to find each piece separately throughout Svartalfheim in wealth chests.

Moving on to stats, heavy hits are going to give you a 40 percent chance to set your enemies in the area on fire. So, whenever your weapon is on fire, your melee damage increases by 25 percent. In addition to this, Eivor is more resistant to enemy attacks. Apart from the perks and bonuses that the Fire Giant Armor Set has to put forward, the outfit is phenomenal, giving Eivor a menacing look.

Jotun Armor Set

Jotun Armor Set is for those players who fancy using their abilities during combat. In order to obtain this Armor Set, you have to defeat five of Suttungr’s Outriders. You can find them all over Svartalfheim. One particular way of finding them is by helping Dwarves In Distress. After the completion of this event, one of the Suttungr’s Outriders will be shown on the map.

Another way to find them is through exploring the world. However, if you know all the locations, it gets very facile to get the armor pieces. Once you have attained all the armor pieces, you will be able to enter the Jotun portal at the Midalstilfa dam in Svaladal. There, you can get a one-headed Axe called Jotnar Cleaver after defeating a Jotun Boss.

This brute-looking armor set also comes with some noteworthy stats. The first bonus you get is that whenever you use an ability, your armor will increase by 30 percent for a short period of time. Moreover, your melee resistance will increase by 20 percent if you fully equip the Armor Set. All in all, the Jotun Armor Set is a great choice if you want to make use of your abilities while fending off enemies.

Dwarven Blacksmith Armor Set

The Dwarven Armor Set is one of the best armor sets in the game. This armor set primarily focuses on fast-paced attacks and evasion. You can find all the armor pieces in wealth chests dispersed all over Svartalfheim. After you are done collecting all the armor pieces, you will be rewarded with notable stats and perks.

The main bonus you can pick up from the Dwarven Blacksmith Armor Set is an increase in armor by 30 percent when you stun an enemy. This will last for about 10 seconds. On top of that, you get an additional speed increase of 20 percent. Overall, the Dwarven Blacksmith Armor Set is a great pick if your focal point is fast-paced attacks and intensive evasion.
