The most overpowering armor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla due to one of its bonuses. But that’s not all; the best thing about this set is that it’s not situational, meaning all the stats boosted with the set are activated all the time.

Getting the Fallen Heroes Set is no easy task, as you will have to grind for hours in the Tombs of the Fallen. As much as it’s time-consuming, it’s also difficult in those tombs. On top of all that, finding these tombs is a pain because they are not marked on the map anywhere.

Fallen Heroes Armor Showcase
The Best And Most Overpowering Armor In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The first bonus with the Fallen Heroes set gives additional armor and more melee and ranged damage. All of this doesn’t require you to do anything to activate it. Unlike some of the other end-game armor sets on our list. But the second bonus is what makes this set of armor the most overpowering.

Every time Eivor gets hit, he will drop an energy orb on the ground, which will explode and have a cooldown of 10 seconds. The explosion by this orb is so damaging that it takes out low-level enemies on the spot and two shots at most elites. Most advanced players don’t wear Fallen Heroes armor because it’s too powerful and makes the game boring for them.

  • Non-situational and consistent stat boosts.
  • No action is needed for initial bonus activation.
  • Energy orb on hit deals significant damage.
  • Tedious and challenging grind in the Tombs of the Fallen.
  • Frustrating search for unmarked tombs on the map.
  • Makes the game easy and less challenging

Paladins set can very well be the best Melee armor set in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The set is part of a DLC and is only possible to acquire at a higher level. Each piece of Paladin’s set is found in different regions of Francia, which are very difficult. Finding the set will prove to be a challenge, no doubt, but it’s fully worth it. Because, in the end, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is mostly a melee combat game.

Wearing Paladins set grants you massive damage boosts, but attacks consume slightly more stamina. The damage boost you get is huge, while stamina consumption is just 5% which barely affects anything. Light attacks refill the stamina anyway, so using a weapon like a sword or a dagger will immensely benefit you.

Though the first bonus is great, the reason it’s the best melee armor is due to its second set bonus. The second set bonus is the 70% increased Adrenaline charge, which is almost double. Once you have that great of a charge for adrenaline in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you are unstoppable. Hence Paladin’s armor is the best melee armor in the entire game.

  • Significantly enhances melee combat effectiveness.
  • Slight increase in stamina consumption balanced by quick refills from light attacks.
  • The high adrenaline charge makes the player nearly invincible.
  • Exclusive to a DLC, limiting access for some players.
  • Only obtainable at a higher character level.
  • Pieces are found in difficult regions, making it a formidable task.

Twilight Armor Set is hands down the best-looking armor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Not only does it look cool, but it also has amazing effects to it. Wearing the Twilight Armor set will greatly help you build a fire quicker, so it’s a great elemental set as well. The set will be part of the latest DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which comes out in March. But if you have preordered the Dawn Of Ragnorak, then you will be getting this set.

The first perk increases your speed and fire build-up. But the cool part is the second park which rains Ice Shard on the light finisher and Lava blast on the heavy finisher. Both of these finishers have a small cooldown time, so you’ll be using that a lot.

Galloglach Armor Set is a great set that wants you to be aggressive in order to be more resilient. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you will encounter boss fights, and this set is the best Ac Valhalla armor for those fights. You can get Galloglach Armor set mid-way in the game, and most of your difficult boss battles will be then as well. Getting the set is not too difficult so you will be hunting for it.

While wearing the Galloglach Armor AC Valhalla armor set, your melee resistance increases when you hit enemies with finishers. This is one solid set bonus that wants you to be aggressive without having to worry about being hit by a melee attack.

The second set bonus is increased damage for melee. Both of the set bonuses go well with each other and promote an aggressive play with provided balance for defense. All in all, a great set to fight enemies in long and dragged battles, which you will mostly do in boss fights.

  • Ideal for aggressive play in challenging boss fights.
  • Obtainable midway, aligning with tough encounters.
  • Melee resistance and damage boost reward aggression.
  • Primarily encourages offensive tactics.
  • Available after some progress in the game.
  • Tailored for boss fights, may not excel in all situations.

Alternative Picks

Here are additional armor sets in AC Valhalla that you might find worth considering. I opted not to include them in my top 4 list for specific reasons.

  • Celtic Armor Set: Its gold plating design makes it desirable but it is outclassed by other armor sets in stats.
  • Rus’ Armor Set: Increases attack but only when Eivor is surrounded by 3 or more enemies.

That does it for our long list of best Armor Sets in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Picking these sets of armor and ranking them in this order was challenging, but we did what we thought was right. If we missed your favorite set that should have been there, let us know in the comments below. Also, while you are here, must check out Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Settings.
