Once you clear the prologue, however, all three Cyberpunk 2077 Lifepaths converge into a single route where you start from rock bottom. But it’s important to know that they each provide their distinctive style and storytelling elements during the first opening hour.

What Are Lifepaths & How They Impact In Cyberpunk 2077

There are three main paths you can choose in Cyberpunk 2077. Each of these offers a special prologue section focused solely on the life path you chose for V. Most importantly, they can influence your dialogue options when talking to NPCs during the gigs or many quests scattered throughout Night City.

• The elite business mindset of V lets you exploit people no matter who can get in your way.
• As Corpo V, you understand that you need to do whatever it takes to get results, and there’s no such thing as playing fair in this dog-eat-dog world.

During your ventures around Night City, you can swiftly pull the tricks on some of the other corpo fixers you meet to gain their likeability and favor.

Nomad Lifepath

The Nomads will warn V of the crippling addiction to power before you venture out into the City, making this an ideal life path if you’re looking for the most lion-hearted and sincere personality.

• It’s intriguing to get a layout of the Sahara desert-like region before you are pulled into the madness of the big city.
• Then there are quests and characters that will be specifically exclusive to your backstory too.
• The Nomad dialogue options will let you score some easy negotiations in key story moments, thanks to your proficiency and prowess from living with the Tribe.

So it is an ideal beginner lifepath for new or confused players. This is also the lifepath I personally picked during my first playthrough.

Street Kid Lifepath

The Street Kid V knows the city like the back of their hands. They are street-smart and quick-witted in most encounters. 

• Street Kid V is always up to date on those situations, so they can easily get on a possible neutral or, even in most cases, the good side of the City’s many NPCs.
• This lifepath will begin your adventure in the El Coyote Cojo Bar in Heywood. It is where you will meet Padre, a familiar friend of V who will start your first Job.

You start off having pre-established relationships with friendly NPCs. Eventually, having these various connections to the criminal empire will prove beneficial in the long run.

Most Popular Lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077

According to many people who discussed the game a year after its release and even now. The most popular Lifepath boils down between Nomad and Street Kid. 

They are both equally the most popular Cyberpunk 2077 lifepaths, as seen from an official fan vote poll on CD Projekt Red’s Twitter.

The Best Lifepath

Ultimately you should not be widely concerned with the best Lifepath as I have already said all three may offer a completely unique experience between each playthrough. All three will generally differ in presenting you with dialogue options for key story moments.

Objectively speaking, there is no one-fits-all option. The game is meant to be played and replayed multiple times before a player gets tired of it. This is because Cyberpunk 2077 offers hundreds of hours of playtime with many missions, side missions, and many NPCs to interact with.
