Learn about the best weapons in CS2, alongside their stats and significance.

Counter-Strike 2 features a large number of weapons, which are different for each side, that is, Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist. Players can choose more than 15 different weapons to fight their foes in Counter-Strike 2. However, among these weapons, there are some that stand out due to their high firepower and low recoil, and players may want to know what the best CS2 weapons are.

Key Takeaways
  • There are 35 weapons in Counter Strike 2.
  • CS2 Best Weapons are not just famous because of their in-game popularity, but they are also considered the best in terms of firepower.
  • While using the best weapons in CS2, players are guaranteed to get a massive advantage over their enemies, considering they are used properly.
  • The biggest disadvantage of the best weapons is that they are highly situation and range-dependent.
  • Players having AWP cannot partake in close-range duels, while players using Nova and Desert Eagle have very slim chances of winning long-range duels.

1. AK-47

Starting with AK-47, unarguably the best weapon in Counter-Strike 2. AK-47 is featured for the Terrorists’ side, but it is a weapon even the Counter-Terrorists seek. If found lying near a dead body, any player will pick it up without a second thought. With an AK-47 in your hands, it doesn’t matter what armor the enemy has; one clean shot to the head is all you need.

2. M4A1-S

The second gun on the list is the M4A1-S. The reason to place M4A1-S on the second number instead of M4A1 is due to its popularity among the players as well as its silencer feature. The M4A1-S has the most popularity among the players after AK-47. It is the best assault rifle that the Counter-Terrorists can have to compete with the AKs on the Terrorist side.

Apart from its close rivalry with the AK, the M4A1-S features a silencer that makes it hard for the enemies to track down the position of the players using the M4A1-S. The price for the M4A1-S is $2900, which is $200 more expensive than the AK-47, that is, $2700.

3. AWP

The next gun on the list is none other than the AWP. It is the most expensive sniper rifle available in CS2. With the AWP in hand, connecting one bullet to the enemy is all you need, as one bullet anywhere on the body is enough to kill your foes.

If not for the expensive price, AWP could have been the first gun on the list of the best weapons. In addition to the one-bullet kill, the AWP has its own flaws. AWP drastically reduces the speed of the player using it.

4. Galil AR

An assault rifle that you might not see listed in the list of the best weapons in CS2, but Galil AR can be deadly if used correctly. I myself prefer using the Galil AR when I cannot afford the AK-47, or I can’t land the one taps with my AK. Galil AR costs only $1800 and can be considered one of the best run-and-gun weapons after the P90. With Galil AR, you can enter the site while holding the W key.

5. Desert Eagle

Desert Eagle is also commonly known as the Deagle among the Counter-Strike players. Deagle is the first pistol to take a spot in my list of Counter-Strike 2 best weapons. Deagle has the capability to kill enemies with an instant headshot, even if they are wearing a helmet. It can prove to be a very deadly gun for just $700.

However, you can find yourself at a big disadvantage in a long-range duel. I will advise you not to partake in a long-range duel with a Deagle unless you are precise and confident with your aim. Crouch shooting can increase the accuracy of the Deagle.

6. USP-S

Fire Rate352.94

Armor Penetration50.50%

The sixth-best weapon and the second-best pistol, according to my listing of the best weapons, is the USP-S. USP-S can prove to be a very efficient weapon in the pistol rounds. Its silenced feature also gives the USP-S an edge over the other pistols as well.

I personally prefer using a Kevlar vest and USP-S for the pistol round, as it costs only $200. However, the USP-S is a Counter-Terrorist side pistol and will not be available for the Terrorists.

7. Nova

Nova

Damage26
Fire Rate68.18
Recoil 143
Armor Penetration50.00%
Mobility225

While talking about the CS2 Best Weapons, how can I forget to mention Nova? Nova is most likely the deadliest shotgun when it comes to close-range combat. No matter what rifle you have, your chances of winning the duel are very low if you encounter a Nova user. If used properly, Nova can be a deadly weapon for just the price of $1050.

8. SG 553

Fire Rate545.45

Armor Penetration100.00%
Mobility210

The SSG 553 is a scoped rifle that is featured in CS2. It is a competitor for the AUG with a lower price. The AUG is a CT-based weapon; however, SG 553 is a Terrorist sided weapon. The SG 553 might be a scoped rifle, but its firepower is significantly lower than that of the AK and M4A1-S. So make sure not to engage in long-range combats just because the SG 553 has a scope.

9. SSG 08

Mobility230

Another sniper rifle that stays on the list is the SSG 08. It is a very cheap sniper rifle compared to the AWP, but the SSG 08 does not have the ability to one-shot kill an enemy. However, if you have a precise aim, then one headshot with the SSG 08 can be the end of your foes. The most impressive thing about SSG 08 is its accuracy while jump shooting.

10. Tec-9

Damage33
Fire Rate500
Recoil23.0

The last weapon on the list is a pistol, and it is none other than Tec-9. It is a Terrorist sided pistol that costs $500. The price may be high for a pistol that cannot kill with one headshot, but I highly prefer it on different maps, such as Dust or Nuke, while rushing the B site. A smoke combined with Tec-9 is one of my favorite combos while on the Terrorists’ side.

What I Recommend

After grinding CS2 for more than 115 hours on Steam, I came up with the list of the above-mentioned weapons. However, my personal favorite weapon in CS2 is the AK-47. With this weapon, one can win duels of any range if the aim is precise enough. While on the Counter-Terrorist side, I prefer using the M4A1-S, as getting hands on the AK may not be an easy task.

With all of the information provided above, my guide on CS2 Best Weapons comes to an end. In this guide, I have discussed some of the best guns in CS2, along with some other details. After reading the guide, players can use the mentioned weapons up to their full potential to gain an advantage over their enemies.

While you are at it, make sure to check out the other guides on CS2 as well. Guides such as Best Inferno Smokes in CS2, Best Mouse Sensitivity, CS2 Best Grenade Spots in Dust 2, and many more have been covered.
