Where To Find Dust Of Realms

As the Dust of Realms is a rare and valuable item, there aren’t that many locations from where you can get it. There are limited locations from where you can get it. And these locations aren’t easy at all. You’ll have to fight hard mini-bosses to get some Dust of Realms. So, here is how you can get the Dust of Realms in God of War Ragnarok.

Born From Fire Side Quest

The first method includes a side quest. In the side quest, you’ll have to go to a bunch of Draugr Holes in the game and close them down. The quest starts when you kill a special Draugr in the game, known as The Hateful. After killing The Hateful, you’ll have to close its Draugr Hole.

There are a total of six Draugr Holes spread around the Game. You’ll have to locate each of these and defeat The Hateful at each of these spots. When you defeat The Hateful, you’ll get Dust of Realms as a reward. So, here are all six Draugr Holes locations with their rewards.

The Watchtower Draugr Hole – Svartalfheim

The Draugr Hole in Svartalfheim is near the Watchtower and easy to find. Once you defeat The Hateful here, you’ll get tons of rewards and XP. As for Dust of Realms, you’ll get 5 of that.

The Applecore Draugr Hole – Svartalfheim

The next Draugr Hole is in The Applecore. It comes while you’re breaking Tyr out of prison. Instead of breaking him free, turn left and head towards the wall. Go through the ledge towards the other side, and the Draugr Hole is to the right of the Corridor you come into. Among other rewards that you get here, you’ll get 15x Dust of Realms.

Abandoned Village Draugr Hole – Vanaheim

The first Draugr Hole in Vanaheim is located in the Abandoned Village. In the village, look for the waterfall. The Draugr Hole is right behind it in a cave. After you defeat the Hateful there, you’ll get 25x Dust of Realms.

The Plains Draugr Hole – Vanaheim

For the Draugr Hole in the Plains, you’ll have to complete a favor quest first. The Quest’s name is Return Of The River. Once you finish it, you can head towards The Plains. The Draugr Hole is easy to find. You’ll get 40x Dust of Realms once you defeat the Hateful there.

The Barrens Draugr Hole – Alfheim

The Draugr Hole in The Barrens is located out in the open in the Alfhiem region. Go there and defeat the Hateful. Once defeated, you’ll get 60x Dust of Realms as one of the other rewards.

Lake of Nine Draugr Hole – Midgard

As for the final Draugr Hole, you’ll find it in Midgard. It is located in the Lake of Nine region. You’ll find the Draugr Hole quite easily. Once you defeat The Hateful, it will finish the “Born From Fire” side quest and reward you with many things. Most importantly, it will reward you with 100x Dust of Realms.

Yggdrasil Rifts

Apart from the Side Quest, you get Dust of Realms by closing the Yggdrasil Rifts. These Yggdrasil Rifts were known as Realm Tears in the last installment of the game. Now the Rifts, like the Draugr Hole, are completely optional. You can completely skip them if you don’t feel like doing them.

But the rewards that you get from clearing these Rifts can’t be overlooked. The most valuable reward that you get from them is the Dust of Realms. So, if you want to upgrade your items, then you shouldn’t overlook them. There are a total of 15 Yggdrasil Rifts in God of War Ragnarok.

Strategy

Yggdrasil Rifts are a type of challenge for Kratos. In it, Kratos has to fight off some of the unique enemies in the game. Almost all of them are unique in their way. So you’ll have to come up with new tactics each time to defeat them. But remember, they won’t be easy to defeat.

Even if you’re in a rather easier region, if you interact with a rift, you’ll find much harder foes. Don’t take these challenges lightly. Once you manage to defeat the opponent that came out of the Rift, you’ll note that the Rift is still intact. What you want to do is go to it and then interact with it. What Is Dust of Realms

God of War Ragnarok lets you create different items in the game. As usual, to craft these items, you’d need some raw materials. As there are tons of items that you can craft in the game, so are tons of raw materials to craft them.

Dust of Realms is one of these raw materials that you can use to craft different items in the game. It is a rare resource, so that you won’t find it at many places in the game.

Crafting Uses

Dust of Realms is a crafting resource. Using it, you can upgrade tons of items in the game. It will make those items much stronger for you to use, giving you an edge over opponents or bosses in the game. The Dust of Realms is used to upgrade Shields in the game. So, here are all the items that require Dust of Realms as a raw crafting material.

Shield Upgrades

As you go into the crafting menu in the game, there are tons of shield upgrades. There are a total of 5 Shields in the game. And to Upgrade them, you’ll need different resources. But if you are looking to get a shield to a maximum level, then you’ll require the Dust of Realms, as it is the main item to maximize a Shield’s upgrade.

All of the Shields in the game require Dust of Realms for their final two upgrades at levels 8 and 9. It is one of the main items to upgrade them. If you want to own powerful shields, then you’ll have to get Dust of Realms. 

At level 8 for all shields, you’ll require 15,000 Hacksilver, 6x Luminous Alloy, and mainly, 25x Dust of Realms. When you get to level 9 of the Shields, you’ll need 20,000 Hacksilver, 3x Blazing Embers, and 50x Dust of Realms.

Shield Attachments Upgrades

With the shields, you’ll get to upgrade their attachments too. The attachments make the shields even more powerful. The Ronds not only increase the Shield’s strength, but they also change its visuals. All in all, Rond upgrades are as important as the Shield upgrades themselves.

Like the Shields, to upgrade the Shield attachments or Ronds to the highest level, you’d need to use Dust of Realms. Not only that, you’ll need some additional resources with that to upgrade the Ronds.

If you upgrade your Shield Attachments to Level 8, you’d need 10,000 Hacksilver, 3x Luminous Alloy, and 15x Dust of Realms. Whereas if you want to upgrade it to level 9, things change a little bit. 

To upgrade the Rond of Volition, Aggravation, Expedition, Restoration, Deflection, and the Rond of the Nine Realms, you’d require 14,000 Hacksilver, 20x Fortified Remnants, and 30x Dust of Realms. Whereas for the Rond of Affliction, Purification, and the Rond of Disruption, you’d require 14,000 Hacksilver, 45x Shining Crystal, and 30x Dust of Realms.

The Dust of Realms is a rare and hard-to-find material if you don’t know where you’re supposed to look. Its rarity is much understood by the usage of the Dust of Realms.
