Progress The Story
As we’ve mentioned before, the blueprints for grass and stem floors can literally be obtained in the first few main missions of the game. As soon as you wake up, follow the guidelines of the game and reach the mysterious box near the first science center.

You will find your first puzzle in the mysterious box, and solving it will cause a huge explosion at the Oak Tree in the game, as you can see in the image above. The game will prompt you to go investigate that explosion after the cutscene is over.

You will need to reach the oak tree in order to further progress your story in the game. It is very easy to spot the oak tree in the game. Just look upwards, and you should be able to see it. Start moving in the direction of the tree, and make sure to run away from any vicious bugs that you encounter.
Investigate The Secret Lab

Once you reach the site of the explosion at the oak tree, you will find the entrance to a secret lab, which should look like the image above. Enter the lab and continue until you find yourself a robot. The robot is known as BURG.L in the game, and he is lying down in the lab.

Help BURG.L get up and talk to it. Exhaust all dialogue until BURG.L instructs you to perform a biometric scan at the nearby terminal in the lab. That Terminal will scan your hand and unlock a shop where you can purchase blueprints for Raw Science Points.

Purchasing The Blueprints
Once you’re done scanning, you can purchase the blueprints for grass and stem floors in the game.

You can purchase the Multi-Story Bases from the science shop now for 1000 Raw Science points. Purchasing the Multi-Story Bases will unlock the normal grass floor blueprints in the game.

Swim to the huge structure that you see in the center, and then you will have to make a dive underneath the building. There you will find the secret entrance to another lab. In that lab, there will be the Pond chip that you can give to BURG.L in order to unlock the Curved Bases at the science shop.
Bur Floors

The last types of floor blueprints that you can unlock in Grounded are the Bur Floor Blueprints. You do not need to do any quest for BURG.L in order to unlock the blueprints for these floors. Instead, all you need to do is analyze a resource material.

How To Build Floors
Now that you’ve unlocked the blueprints for all types of floors in the game, it’s time you learned how to use these blueprints actually to build the floors in Grounded. Following are the steps that you need to follow in order to build floors in the game.
Gather Resources

After you’ve unlocked the blueprint, go to the crafting menu and see the resources that you need in order to build the required floor in the game. Grass floors typically require low-tier resources that can be easily accessed, whereas stronger floors need rarer resources in order to be constructed. For example, grass floors require you to gather planks from grass.

Most of the time, you will need to salvage resources using your tools. Tools can also be crafted by collecting various items from the surroundings. In order to cut grass for building grass floors, you will need a Pebblet Axe, as seen below in the image.

The tool required to salvage resources might also change depending on the resource that you’re trying to salvage. So you should have enough materials to craft the necessary tool when needed.
Placing The Blueprint

Once you have enough materials, open the build menu in the game, and that should lead you to the different blueprints that you’ve unlocked. Select the floor that you want to build from the construction menu in the game, as you can see in the image above.

After you’ve selected the required floor from the construction menu, you can then choose to place its blueprint wherever you want in the yard. It essentially gives you a preview of how your constructed piece will look after it has been established.
Building The Floor

After you’ve placed the blueprint, the game will give you a prompt to build your piece if you have the required materials or resources. If you have the required materials, simply choose the ‘Build’ option, and the game will construct that blueprint piece instantly.
