Animal Crossing Villager Tier List – BEST Characters

Your Go-To Animal Crossing Villagers Guide!

From cute little villagers to a bunch of other peculiar ones, Animal Crossing is loaded with a fantastic character cast for you. What’s surprising, however, is the size of it, which tops at almost the 400 mark. Our Animal Crossing Villager tier list will be managing most of it.

Every player got their own best-fit Animal Crossing companion, and the latest game trends are always subject to fluctuations. Inevitably, ranking each villager is pretty infeasible, but that’s exactly what eXputer is here for.

We have solved the wildest hierarchy mysteries and will solve yet another for you today. While it always lingers to one’s personal choice at the end, our tier list will separate the most appealing villagers from the ones that are hard to love. So, let’s get into it!

S-tier villagers
S-Tier

The list below can be considered the game’s royalty class given the potency of each villager in here packs. Such overpowered is the tier that most who dwell here have at least once ruled famous popularity charts ever since the time Animal Crossing debuted.

They also rule the majority of players’ hearts given easy handling and, to date, are one of the highly sought-after villagers. Consider yourself lucky if you already have an S-tier dude by your side.

A-Tier

Did you find the above Animal Crossing Villager tier list options amusing? Well, there’s bad news then–characters of the S-tier are extremely difficult to find. In this case, you will always have the perfect S-tier alternatives for use (we mean the A-tier units).

Indeed, the A-tier fellas don’t have that unrivaled ‘it’ factor as in the ones you just read about, but these villagers are still one heck of an option to go with. Besides overflowing cuteness and, of course, competence, each villager from the A-tier hails a unique story.

B-Tier

If the main deciding factor for our Animal Crossing Villager tier list had just been cuteness, the B-tier wouldn’t have existed. As a matter of fact, there would have been any tiers given how adorable every choice is here. Sadly this is not how we’ll be going for today.

In reality, this tier ranks characters that, though performing very well in their mights, ain’t very extraordinary to be pushing against the top tier villagers. The B-tier contestants are average characters who’ll prove to be worthy only if used by an expert player.

C-Tier

C-tier villagers
C-Tier

Sitting beneath the average tier, C-tier automatically gives players negative vibes. But guess what? It’s not as bad as it may seem. That said, there’s nothing really noteworthy in the villagers of C-tier either. They don’t even seem unique to some extent like the dwellers of B-tier and will neither land you much joy.

All in all, don’t compromise on these unless nature really forces you to do so. Relying on characters ranked in the C-tier of our Animal Crossing Villager tier list is fine for some time but immediately take a shift as soon as you see a better option.

To many, though, the characters listed here are hardly of any use, we could think. We recommend going out of your capacity to avoid the D-tier units, or you will end up getting nothing. These lowest of the lows will either end up falling prey to some very easy-to-escape pits or just don’t work at all.

Best Characters In Animal Crossing Villager

Best Villagers
Best Villagers of Animal Crossing Tier List

Each of the 397 villagers offered by the Animal Crossing hails with their own specific charms to ponder upon. They possess unique appearances and distinguished personalities featured via interesting storylines making every character good enough to try for at least once.

But just like one expects from the latest video game, Animal Crossing features a bunch of exceptional options that stand higher than the rest. We have dedicated an entire section of our Animal Crossing Villager tier list for such cream-of-the-crop ones to highlight everything which sets them apart.

Here’s to the captivating qualities of the stars of our Animal Crossing Villager tier list:

Shino

This dear type villager tops our Animal Crossing Villager tier list primarily due to her unique designs more than the actual performance. Shino’s got a lot of personality given her big red eye-shadowed eyes and stands out with a significant margin against the rest.

The Peppy personality not only makes Shino one of the best-designed fellas onboard but also makes it an easy to befriend villager who is always amusing to interact with. Shino’s era first tool started after being introduced during the game’s 2.0 update and, to date, hails her as the most highly desired villager.

Sasha

This blonde rabbit is a newcomer on our Animal Crossing Villager tier list who has pretty shortly made his way to the top spots. Fans surely had fallen for Sasha’s laid-back nature and the adorable overall design manifested via his stunning eyes and lashes.

Surprisingly Sasha is a male villager of the Animal Crossing caste belonging to the Fashion hobby and hailing the Lazy personality type. Together the attributes make him one hell of a unique star of the horde who’s definitely hard not to adore especially given its lovely mint blue color.

Ankha

This villager’s everything is very closely related to Egyptian culture. This helps make for her distinguished presence in our Animal Crossing Villager tier list despite the fact of how crowded it is of Cat type animals.

Anyways, from Ankha’s striking Cleopatra-style eyeliner to the cobra crown, there’s a unique charm on offer that will leave every employer in awe. This is probably why Ankha has been consistently earning the top spots of tier lists for a while now.

Even the villager’s name matches significantly with the ancient symbol, Ankh, adding more to her uniqueness. From the first look of Ankha and the fact that she’s never seen smiling, most new players won’t get too excited.

However, given her Snooty personality and standoffishness, the pharaonic cat won’t take long to make friends with you. Keep Ankha to your side, and we guarantee you will never regret it.

Raymond

After Ankha, here’s another Cat on our Animal Crossing Villager tier list that’s surely worth your attention. Raymond’s overwhelmingly cute businessman appearance and heterochromatic eyes are the centers of attention, earning him an Ankha-level spot in famous hierarchies.

This highly sought-after cat of Animal Crossing also hails as one of the most highly-traded options from the game’s first release. Moreover, Raymond is one of the 38 hard-to-catch Smug personality villagers; therefore, don’t miss picking him up whenever you can.

Anyways, all the hype for Raymond lasts only when related to Cat-type villagers, for instance, in comparison to Ankha. With mighty competitors like Sasha and Shino, Raymond is not fit enough to compete for the S-Rank status.

However, that still doesn’t mean he’s not the best of bests on our Animal Crossing Villager tier list.

Marshal

The interesting-looking squirrel Marshal is also worthy enough to take one of the highest spots on our Animal Crossing Villager tier list. Just like Raymond, Marshal also belongs to the Smug-type personality in the game.

Marshal is not just an ordinary squirrel but rather a pouty one, given his fixed side-eye and constant frown expression. Thanks also to the rosy cheeks and cream color, Marshal hails with a unique marshmallowy look hence earning the distinguished name.

As far as the home interior is concerned, Marshal probably owns one of the most interesting ones to date. It’s cafe themed for a start featuring a cool piano and, of course, an espresso machine. All this makes a great combo with his appearances, ultimately being too cute to handle for the fans.

Zucker

Peculiar design Zucker is famous for multiple of his qualities. For a start, Zucker belongs to one of the rarest, Octopus types of the game (you will hardly see any on our Animal Crossing Villager tier list).

As already revealed, Zucker’s design is influenced by food, something that’s rather strange than usual happenings in the game but definitely very cool. He resembles the Japanese eating specialty, Takoyaki, hence looking like a fried octopus mince ball!

Not caught by the oddness of it yet? Then there’s even a toothpick piercing Zucker’s head complimented by the villager’s sushi-themed house. His Lazy and laid-back nature also couples greatly with his overall expression.

All in all, for anyone looking forward to experiencing a food-themed journey where inviting similar villagers will be a probable routine, Zucker is for them.

Lucky

Despite its name, this dog unit is certainly not the luckiest except for the fact that it lands in the list of bests for our Animal Crossing Villager tier list. Maybe it’s his ironic name that makes up for his ranking, we suppose.

Looks wise, a bandage-wrapped dog accompanies you with his glowing yellow-hued eye as the only part of your body peeking through the bandage. Moreover, it’s Lucky the dog’s Lazy personality type that also earns a top spot for him.

Despite what he has been through, Lucky never seems to allow that to influence his joyful nature at all, hence hailing as one of the most friendly villagers of the game’s realm. For a Halloween-themed or horror island setting, Lucky is definitely worth investing in.

Bob

Bob is one of the founding options of the Animal Crossing Villager caste. So worthy is the villager that he’s still consistently occupying the highest ranks across all famous hierarchies built to date. That said, Bob is especially known for his sly smile and half-closed eyes.

Together the two qualities not only uplift the already popular star Bob but also compliment his Lazy personality type. In search of a good investment in Animal Crossing Villager? Bob makes a great pick!

Sherb

Hailing a very soft look topped with the Lazy personality type, Sherb, the sleepy sweet lad of our Animal Crossing Villager tier list, is definitely worth the hype. Sherb belongs to the goat character type who’d be usually seen sporting a Winter Sweater to complement his striped grey color horns.

Like most villagers of the game, Sherb has also got an adorable white-pink face, but that kind of seems more well-versed in his case, thanks to the overall attire. Plus, the biggest upside for most gamers is how Sherb, unlike his fellow goat class villagers, doesn’t manifest a beard.

Therefore that allows for Sherb’s baby-like face, ultimately adding to the cuteness factor that mostly influences Animal Crossing villager hierarchies. All in all, the more lovable Sherb is worth giving a try.

Ione

Last but not least comes the absolutely unique sparkling Ione. She manifests a head-to-toe astronomy-styled design but what’s most spectacular is the tail. Ione owns a star-filled tail to amuse most gamers who’d not be expecting too many surprises from an ordinary squirrel like her.

Yes, Ione is a starry squirrel of the Animal Crossing Villager tier list who actually illuminates the dark with a soft blue hue, leaving players fascinated for a long. The villagers belong to the Normal personality type (yet so extraordinary.

Ione’s overall manifestation leaves every employee in awe, who most probably used to think of the Normal personality villagers as boring. Are you a fan of something out of the box compared to the usual cute faces? Ione is for you!

Tier List Criteria

Curating the best possible, most definitive Animal Crossing Villager tier list was nearly an impossible task, but we did it! Every player has their own specific opinion about the plethora of cute buddies, and their overall comparison didn’t seem to fit enough to know who’s the best of the best.

Secondly, the Animal Crossing Villager, whether its debut series or the New Horizon, are pretty different video games than the anime-style or RPG ones. Ultimately, this makes up for an even unique mechanic on offer, which in turn demanded eXputer as well to modify its tier list building style.

Our team focused more on species this time and then ranked accordingly, so you know what names hail as the mightiest from amongst the separate backgrounds. The hierarchy was based on the overall combination of each villager’s home design, appearance, popularity amongst the Animal Crossing community, and to some point, their catchphrase.

Nevertheless, it goes without saying that the Animal Crossing Villager tier list lays forth an opinionated hierarchy. We by no means claim to be the sole accurate voice but are surely the most reliable one.

Our ranking might not work as a go-to for all the players out there, but it will definitely relate to the majority opinion, ultimately helping most of you.
