Welcome to the Mythic+ Tier list for World of Warcraft Dragonflight, where we will be ranking DPS from best to worst based on their Survivability, Utility, and Damage in the latest patch update. This Mythic+ Tier List is based on extensive research, and new updates will be added to this list for the evolution of meta and availability of more data.
- The game has over 25 different characters to choose from.
- Rankings are based on different analytical measures, dividing characters into different tiers.
- A more effective team consists of characters that work well together even if they are across different tiers. This makes for a more collaborative team, rather than a team with more power but no trust.
- S Tier specs are the best of the rest, with D Tier specs trailing behind as the lowest ranked.
- Outlaw Rogue is one of the best-ranked specs, still performing great in all categories.
- Beast Mastery Hunter is the spec you should stay away from, bound to lose in all fights it partakes in; the spec is destined to lose.
- B Tier specs are the specs everyone would be lucky to have.
- Lower-ranked specs have a fighting chance when paired with B Tier specs.
- The higher ranked the character, the better its abilities and Survivability, Utility, and Damage.
- With new updates and buffs, this list has changed a lot since the previous version.

S Tier Specs

These S Tier specs have a combination of the best Survivability, Utility, and Damage while also being the most fun to play with. They are one of the best choices to add to your clan. Please bear in mind, these rankings are subject to change with the availability of new information and updates.
Outlaw Rogue
Resource | Energy, Combo points | Armor Type | Leather |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 7.59 | Specializations | Assassination, Outlaw and Subtlety (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 38.71 | Versatility | 3.15 |
Attack Power | 7.22 | Weapon offhand DPS | 4.73 |
Critical Strike | 2.83 | Mastery | 2.16 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Crossbows, Daggers, One-handed Swords, Maces, Axes, Fist weapon
Abilities | Vanish, Slap, Eviscerate, Sinister Strike, Sprint |
With no surprises, Outlaw Rogue has its own spot up in S Tier. Dominating all of the DPS charts, it keeps its spot in the upper echelons, and it is getting mighty comfy. All Rogue specs are performing great, but the top players seem to have a preference for Outlaw Rogue which they believe helps maximize their potential.
Outlaw Rogue has always been well known for their Utility, but it was their Damage that got them this spot in S Tier. The Damage is so competitive that it is one of the few specs with their target capped.
The race between Outlaw Rogue and Subtlety Rogue has never been closer, with Subtlety trailing slightly behind.
Subtlety Rogue
Resource | Energy, Combo points | Armor Type | Leather |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 8.12 | Specializations | Assassination, Outlaw and Subtlety (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 45.08 | Versatility | 3.57 |
Attack Power | 7.73 | Weapon offhand DPS | 1.55 |
Critical Strike | 3.52 | Mastery | 3.59 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Crossbows, Daggers, One-handed Swords, Maces, Axes, Fist weapon
Abilities | Vanish, Slap, Eviscerate, Sinister Strike, Sprint |
Following the theme of surprising absolutely nobody, Subtlety Rogue trails behind Outlaw Rogue to occupy a spot in the S Tier of the Mythic+ Tier List. They offer consistently high burst Damage and utility in Mythic+, so there is no debate about why they are up there. Having slightly lower Damage than Outlaw Rogue, and greater than Assassination Rogue, Subtlety is smack dab in the middle of the Rogues.
Although the game does provide a lot of tips on how to play with the new talent system, this spec is a little harder to master. Subtlety Rogue can benefit the most from the Cloak of Shadows and Shadowstep out of all the available utilities.
Windwalker Monk
Resource | Energy or Mana, Chi | Armor Type | Leather |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 6.64 | Specializations | Brewmaster(tank), Mistweaver(healer), Windwalker(melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 28.89 | Versatility | 2.96 |
Attack Power | 6.31 | Weapon offhand DPS | 9.07 |
Critical Strike | 2.99 | Mastery | 2.6 |
Weapon Skills | Fist weapons, Staves, One-handed swords, Maces, Axes and Polearms
Abilities | Roll, Spinning crane kick, Stagger, Storm, Earth and Fire |
Still kicking about in S Tier, Windwalker Monk has always been at the top of all DPS meters. It’s highly probable for you to find one trolling about in some of the best Mythic+ groups since they keep on improving their gameplay as the talent system is upgraded.
Windwalker has extremely high damage, maybe that is why it has been labeled the “Walking Tank”. Albeit the Damage is not on par with Outlaw or Havoc, it still deserves a spot in the top 5, and maybe even your clan.
You can easily access Touch Of Karma, Fortifying Brew, and other defensive cooldown buttons with Windwalker. They also have great utility with Generous Pour, Mystic Touch, and Close To Heart.
Unholy Death Knight
Resource | Runic Power, Runes | Armor Type | Plate |
Primary Attribute | Strength: 9.86 | Specializations | Blood(tank), Frost(melee DPS), Unholy(melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 42.09 | Versatility | 4.51 |
Attack Power | 6.97 | Haste | 5.33 |
Critical Strike | 4.65 | Mastery | 4.83 |
Weapon Skills | Polearms, One handed, Off hand or Two-handed Swords, Axes and Maces
Abilities | Death grip, Death strike, Death coil, Obliterate, Death and decay |
The newest patch update has buffed up Unholy Death Knight, putting them higher in the list. They have always ranked higher for their burst Damage specs, but now their single damage is the reason they are being sought after.
Their Survivability is great depending greatly on Death Strike, Anti Magic Shell, and Icebound Fortitude. Their utility is great with Death Grip and Anti Magic Zone.
Arcane Mage
Resource | Mana, Arcane charge | Armor Type | Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect : 8.66 | Specializations | Arcane(ranged DPS), Fire(ranged DPS), Frost(ranged DPS) |
Haste | 3.55 | Versatility | 3.92 |
Spell Power | 7.25 | Weapon Offhand DPS | N/A |
Critical Strike | 3.7 | Mastery | 3.56 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Wands, Daggers, One-handed Swords and held in off-hand shields and weapons
Abilities | Conjure Refreshment, Teleport, Polymorph, Frost Nova, Pyroblast |
The insane burst Damage of Arcane Mage has been a shock to all its competitors, and for that reason, it has been bumped up to S Tier. Having multiple Defensive cooldowns at their disposal for different scenarios is also a plus point for ultimate damage. They do, however, lack mobility and for that reason, it is seen as one of the most difficult specs to play.
If you are good at that game, you may be able to maximize damage by timing your movements. Other than this small hiccup, it is a very good spec to be in your group.
A Tier Specs

The specs in A Tier are commonly at the top of the DPS rankings with their phenomenal Single Target damage. ut their AoE damage trails slightly behind. They have a plethora of buffs and Utilities available to them, making them a spec sought by many groups.
Havoc Demon Hunter
Resource | Fury | Armor Type | Leather |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 8.26 | Specializations | Hovac(melee DPS), Vengeance (tank) |
Weapon DPS | 40.13 | Versatility | 3.91 |
Attack Power | 7.87 | Weapon offhand DPS | 7.52 |
Critical Strike | 4.67 | Mastery | 4.35 |
Weapon Skills | Warglaives, Fist weapons, One-Handed Axes and Swords
Abilities | Fel rush, Chaos strike, Eye beam, Double jump, Glide |
This spec is in the top charts of A Tier, but just not S Tier material. Their damage is no longer what it used to be, at the top of the tables. Even so, they have had great performances in both Mythic+ and Raids.
They can provide great utility using Chaos Brand and Darkness while using Netherwalk for Survivability.
Enhancement Shaman
Resource | Mana, Maelstrom | Armor Type
Primary Attribute | Agility: 8.44 | Specializations | Elemental(ranged DPS), Enhancement (melee DPS), Restoration (healer) |
Weapon DPS | 36.27 | Versatility | 3.92 |
Attack Power | 8.04 | Weapon offhand DPS | 12.05 |
Critical Strike | 4.41 | Mastery | 4.52 |
Weapon Skills | Daggers, Fist weapons, One-handed and Two-handed Maces, Axes and Staves
Abilities | Bloodlust, Heroism, Stormstrike, Chain lightning, Healing rain, Ghost wolf |
After receiving improvements Enhancement Shamans have been dominating DPS charts both in Mythic+ and Raids. The new talent choices for them don’t just rely on two options, but rather have a plethora of them to choose from.
They have a flexible playstyle and provide well-rounded damage making them a useful spec to have in your group. You can get a damage boost using Windfury Totem and Utilities from using totems such as Wind Shear, Capacitor Totem, and Thundershock.
The Survivability cooldowns are gained from Astral Bulwark, Earth Elemental, and Ancestral Guidance.
Marksmanship Hunter
Resource | Focus | Armor Type | Mail, Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 8.55 | Specializations | Beast Mastery(ranged DPS), Marksmanship (ranged DPS), Survival (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 48.57 | Versatility | 4.14 |
Attack Power | 8.14 | Haste | 4.42 |
Critical Strike | 4.19 | Mastery | 3.73 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Guns, Crossbows, Polearms, Swords, Axes, Staves
Abilities | Call pet, Feign death, Kill command, Aimed shot |
They have undergone substantial changes in the past to their tuning and have now been placed in the midst of A Tier. Marksmanship Hunters are the preferred hunter spec, and they perform consistently well.
Damage was bumped up 10% overall, offering great burst damage using Careful Aim. They do, however, lack in survivability and utility, but the damage more than makes up for it.
Demonology Warlocks
Resource | Mana, Soul Shards | Armor Type | Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 8.13 | Specializations | Affliction (ranged DPS), Demonology (ranged DPS), Destruction (ranged DPS) |
Weapon DPS | N/A | Versatility | 3.77 |
Spell Power | 7.37 | Haste | 3.0 |
Critical Strike | 3.81 | Mastery | 3.72 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Wands, Daggers, One-handed Swords and held in off-handed items
Abilities | Summon Demonic Minions, Shadow bolt, Drain life, Enslave demon, Chaos bolt |
Demonology Warlocks are slowly dropping down the ranks of A Tier as other specs get better and better. Their damage is the best of the rest in Warlock Specs and they gave pretty good single-target damage.
Their defensive abilities make them best in Survivability, using Soul Leech, Unending Resolve, Demon Skin, and Dark Pact.
Feral Druid
Resource | Mana, Energy, Combo points, Rahe, Astral power | Armor Type | Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 8.13 | Specializations | Balance(ranged DPS), Feral(melee DPS), Guardian(tank), Restoration(healer) |
Weapon DPS | N/A | Versatility | 3.77 |
Spell Power | 7.37 | Haste | 3.0 |
Critical Strike | 3.81 | Mastery | 3.72 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Dagger, One or Two Handed Maces, Fist weapons, Polearms and held in off-hand shields and weapons
Abilities | Innervate, Regrowth, Starsurge, Frenzied Regeneration, Ferocious Bite |
Feral Druids have seen a massive boost to their damage in Mythic+ and Raids, having some of the best AoE and strong Single Target damage. This means they fall behind slightly in balance.
They can provide great utility with Mark of the Wild, Innervate, and Stampeding Roar. On the other hand,
Balance Druid
Resource | Mana, Energy, Combo points, Rahe, Astral power | Armor Type | Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 7.86 | Specializations | Balance(ranged DPS), Feral(melee DPS), Guardian(tank), Restoration(healer) |
Weapon DPS | N/A | Versatility | 3.62 |
Spell Power | 7.12 | Haste | 4.12 |
Critical Strike | 3.18 | Mastery | 4.18 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Dagger, One or Two Handed Maces, Fist weapons, Polearms and held in off-hand shields and weapons
Abilities | Innervate, Regrowth, Starsurge, Frenzied Regeneration, Ferocious Bite |
Balance Druids have done a fairly decent job at maintaining their position, staying put in A Tier for a very long time. They are on par with Feral Druid ever since they received a couple of Rading Damage buffs. Their damage, both burst, and AoE are significantly high using certain talents.
The only downfall of Balance Druid is that they do not have much Survivability, but what they lack there they cover in Utility. Their Utilities include Typhoon, Ursols Vortex, Incapacitating Roar, Stampeding Roar, Remove Corruption, and Solar Boom.
B Tier Specs

Specs in the B Tier are in the middle of the pack, lagging slightly behind but not much to be considered a bad spec. They only excel in either one of the three; Utility, Survivability, or Damage. Pairing them up with either A Tier or B Tier helps make a really good team.
Frost Death Knight
Resource | Runic Power, Runes | Armor Type | Plate |
Primary Attribute | Strength: 9.34 | Specializations | Blood(tank), Frost(melee DPS), Unholy(melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 23.71 | Versatility | 4.1 |
Attack Power | 5.74 | Weapon Offhand DPS | 10.76 |
Critical Strike | 4.89 | Mastery | 5.35 |
Weapon Skills | Polearms, One handed, Off hand or Two-handed Swords, Axes and Maces
Abilities | Death grip, Death strike, Death coil, Obliterate, Death and decay |
These specs have seen significant improvements and buffs to their damage over the past few weeks. The new talent revamp has many ways to customize the game to your liking, giving players the ability to change the same old gameplay. We feel that the best build for this in Mythic+ is the Breath of Sindrogosa.
They have good Single target damage, but they are still slightly behind Unholy Death Knight in that regard. Overall, they are ranked high in the Raid Damage rankings, an achievement for sure!
Assassination Rogue
Resource | Energy, Combo points | Armor Type | Leather |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 8.69 | Specializations | Assassination, Outlaw and Subtlety (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 47.12 | Versatility | 3.85 |
Attack Power | 8.27 | Weapon offhand DPS | 2.52 |
Critical Strike | 4.12 | Mastery | 4.11 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Crossbows, Daggers, One-handed Swords, Maces, Axes, Fist weapon
Abilities | Vanish, Slap, Eviscerate, Sinister Strike, Sprint |
Albeit Assassination Rogue has held steady in their DPS rankings, they have dropped far back from their counterparts, Outlaw Rogue and Subtlety Rogue, in Mythic+. This is because they lack AoE and Burst Damage. Assassination Rogue’s abilities work best with stealth, and that is why they also lack in Chain Pulling.
Players now mostly prefer other specs due to them actually receiving buffs, hence the falling down the rankings in this Mythic+ Tier List.
Arms Warrior
Resource | Rage | Armor Type | Plate, Mail, Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Strength: 8.69 | Specializations | Arms(melee DPS), Fury(melee DPS), Protection (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 42.69 | Versatility | 3.97 |
Attack Power | 7.08 | Haste | 4.47 |
Critical Strike | 4.5 | Mastery | 4.49 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Crossbows, Guns, Daggers, Fist weapons, Staves, Polearms, One-handed and Two-handed Swords, Maces and Axes
Abilities | Charge, Mortal strike, Whirlwind, Ignore pain, Execute |
Arms Warrior only has one of the two abilities, either Single Target or AoE. Now they are either better than the rest in some fights, or just simply, not good. This can be a good thing, depending on what type of fights you will be fighting.
They have good damage, performing better than Fury Warrior, their counterpart in Single Target, and slightly worse in AoE.
To be even considered a strong build, they rely heavily on the Windfury Totems from Enhancement Shamans. On the other hand, Fury Warriors need none of this.
Elemental Shaman
Resource | Mana, Maelstrom | Armor Type
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 5.56 | Specializations | Elemental(ranged DPS), Enhancement (melee DPS), Restoration (healer) |
Haste | 4.05 | Versatility | 4.05 |
Attack Power | 8.04 | Weapon offhand DPS | 12.05 |
Critical Strike | 4.05 | Mastery | 2.96 |
Weapon Skills | Daggers, Fist weapons, One-handed and Two-handed Maces, Axes and Staves
Abilities | Bloodlust, Heroism, Stormstrike, Chain lightning, Healing rain, Ghost wolf |
These are considered to be dead in the middle, consistently average, and doing the exact things to hold their position. They have good Single Target and AoE damage but lack anything specific to excel at.
Compared to other Shamans, they have subpar Utility and also lack in Survivability. The gameplay does get boring due to some talent restrictions that make some not-so-interesting choices for you.
Devastation Evoker
Resource | Mana, Essence | Armor Type | Mail, Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 8.39 | Specializations | Devastation(ranged DPS), Preservation (healer) |
Haste | 4.6 | Versatility | 4.12 |
Spell Power | 7.6 | Weapon offhand DPS | N/A |
Critical Strike | 4.98 | Mastery | 5.1 |
Weapon Skills | Daggers, Fist weapons, One or Two handed Swords, Staves, Axes and Maces
Abilities | Deep breath, Fire breath, Emerald blossom, Disintegrate, Hover |
Devastation Evokers have been much better over the past few weeks, and especially better than the expected version. They have very strong AoE burst damage, and great damage sustenance for both AoE and Single Target.
They have great mobility, making up for the short playstyle. Their Survivability is interesting to say the least, combing Zephyr and Cauterizing Flame. The cooldowns also are not as good as we expected, with Renewing Blaze and Obsidian Scales.
Fury Warrior
Resource | Rage | Armor Type | Plate, Mail, Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Strength: 7.62 | Specializations | Arms(melee DPS), Fury(melee DPS), Protection (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 26.13 | Versatility | 3.84 |
Attack Power | 6.45 | Weapon Offhand DPS | 12.33 |
Critical Strike | 3.26 | Mastery | 4.81 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Crossbows, Guns, Daggers, Fist weapons, Staves, Polearms, One-handed and Two-handed Swords, Maces, and Axes
Abilities | Charge, Mortal strike, Whirlwind, Ignore pain, Execute |
Fury Warrior has fallen down the rankings a lot, but nonetheless, they are a good spec to play with. They have the choice between Raging Blow and Annihilator specs. In the Mythic+ environment, they are amazing to play with and feel phenomenal.
Their damage and self-healing are great, especially when using Cold Steel Hot Blood, Impending Victory, and Enraged Regeneration. For Raids, they provide Battle Shout and Rallying Cry.
Retribution Paladin
Resource | Mana, Holy Power | Armor Type | Plate, Mail, Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Strength: 5.56 | Specializations | Holy(healer), Protection(tank), Retribution (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 40.34 | Versatility | 3.26 |
Attack Power | 6.72 | Haste | 3.03 |
Critical Strike | 3.5 | Mastery | 3.47 |
Weapon Skills | Polearms, Main, One or Two handed Swords, Axes and Maces
Abilities | Divine Shield, Avenging Wrath, Holy Shock, Consecration, Judgement |
After getting stronger from back in their days in Shadowlands, they are now maintaining their position in the lower ranks of B Tier. Pairing Avenging Wrath and Crusade mean it has improved a lot since Shadowlands. Their damage has also improved a lot using Consecration, but that is only if the target remains still.
Just like all other Paladins, Retribution Paladin brings great Utility. Their Utility includes Hammer of Justice, Blessing of Freedom, Lay on Hands, and Blessing of Protection. This spec does however lack personal cooldowns.
C Tier Specs

The specs present here are the ones a bit lower on the rankings, typically not sought after by anyone and their Utilities are not covered by the higher-tier specs. In some encounters, you may find specialized Utilities for these specs.
Shadow Priest
Resource | Mana, Insanity | Armor Type | Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 8.43 | Specializations | Discipline(healer), Holy(healer), Shadow(ranged DPS) |
Weapon DPS | N/A | Versatility | 4.38 |
Spell Power | 7.61 | Haste | 4.62 |
Critical Strike | 4.3 | Mastery | 4.77 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Wands, Daggers, One-Handed Maces and held off-hand items like Shields and Weapons
Abilities | Leap of Faith, Power Word: Shield, Shadow Word: Pain, Penance, Spirit of Redemption |
Shadow Priests have had quite the tumble down the ranks, but they are still a good spec to play regardless. They have had some changes, but nothing major. In both Raid and Mythic+, they have been performing in the middle.
Their subpar damage is covered by the amazing Utilities they have, including Power Infusion, Mass Dispel, Vampire Embrace, and Power Word: Fortitude. They also have a lot of healing Utilities.
Frost Mage
Resource | Mana, Arcane charge | Armor Type | Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 9.33 | Specializations | Arcane(ranged DPS), Fire(ranged DPS), Frost(ranged DPS) |
Haste | 5.24 | Versatility | 4.65 |
Spell Power | 8.45 | Weapon Offhand DPS | N/A |
Critical Strike | 5.62 | Mastery | 5.35 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Wands, Daggers, One-handed Swords, and held off-hand shields and weapons
Abilities | Conjure Refreshment, Teleport, Polymorph, Frost Nova, Pyroblast |
At a very unorthodox position that not many expected, Frost Mage is all the way down in C Tier. Although they showed high signs of good Single Target damage, they still are behind Arcane Mage in every regard.
Their Capabilities include Cones of Cold, Frigid Winds, and Dragon’s Breath. Their Survivability was already good, but the new options opening up it is even better because of the talent system overhaul.
Frost Mage is easier to play than Arcane Mage, but their damage isn’t something to be proud of.
Fire Mage
Resource | Mana, Arcane charge | Armor Type | Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 8.74 | Specializations | Arcane(ranged DPS), Fire(ranged DPS), Frost(ranged DPS) |
Haste | 3.8 | Versatility | 4.14 |
Spell Power | 7.5 | Weapon Offhand DPS | N/A |
Critical Strike | 2.99 | Mastery | 4.35 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Wands, Daggers, One-handed Swords, and held off-hand shields and weapons
Abilities | Conjure Refreshment, Teleport, Polymorph, Frost Nova, Pyroblast |
Fire Mage just crept out of D Tier after a recent buff, but they are still behind Arcane Mage by a lot. They lack both Single Target and AoE damage, even not working in front of mobs that die fairly quickly.
Their Survivability is better though, with talents like Cauterize, Blazing Barrier, and even Ice Block.
D Tier Specs

These specs are trouble to play with, with their damage being considerably lower for both Single Target and AoE. Any other specs can provide better utility, and even slightly higher damage will help kill faster.
Survival Hunter
Resource | Focus | Armor Type | Mail, Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 9.83 | Specializations | Beast Mastery(ranged DPS), Marksmanship (ranged DPS), Survival (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 47.55 | Versatility | 4.35 |
Attack Power | 9.36 | Haste | 5.31 |
Critical Strike | 4.71 | Mastery | 4.5 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Guns, Crossbows, Polearms, Swords, Axes, Staves
Abilities | Call pet, Feign death, Kill command, Aimed shot |
Survival Hunters did get a bump, as did all the Hunters, but they still remain in D Tier. Their damage, both AoE and Single Target is still lacking making them have to attack in melee range. The defensive abilities are not that good either, so it’s kind of best suited for D Tier. The Utility also does not have much to offer as compared to what other specs can provide.
However, if you are a fan of this spec and want to top the charts with your hunting abilities, try out Marksmanship Hunter.
Beast Mastery Hunter
Resource | Focus | Armor Type | Mail, Leather, Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Agility: 10.65 | Specializations | Beast Mastery(ranged DPS), Marksmanship (ranged DPS), Survival (melee DPS) |
Weapon DPS | 30.42 | Versatility | 4.28 |
Attack Power | 10.14 | Haste | 5.52 |
Critical Strike | 5.44 | Mastery | 5.64 |
Weapon Skills | Bows, Guns, Crossbows, Polearms, Swords, Axes, Staves
Abilities | Call pet, Feign death, Kill command, Aimed shot |
Despite being on the radar for a good spec, Beast Mastery Hunter has been severely let down with subpar damage. Even having a high number of parses, they have extremely low damage.
Mobility-wise, Beast Mastery Hunter is unrivaled. Being able to use all of your skills even when moving is not a feat many have achieved, but their Survivability is again lackluster. Their cooldowns are long, and having to perform within melee distance is not a good idea then.
Affliction Warlock
Resource | Mana, Soul Shards | Armor Type | Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 8.88 | Specializations | Affliction (ranged DPS), Demonology (ranged DPS), Destruction (ranged DPS) |
Weapon DPS | N/A | Versatility | 4.14 |
Spell Power | 8.06 | Haste | 4.57 |
Critical Strike | 4.2 | Mastery | 4.87 |
Weapon Skills | Staves, Wands, Daggers, One-handed Swords, and held in off-handed items
Abilities | Summon Demonic Minions, Shadow bolt, Drain life, Enslave demon, Chaos bolt |
Affliction Warlock had phenomenal numbers in the Shadowlands Pre Patch, but it is performing poorly in Dragonflight. They do have high damage to large pulls, but everything else is lacking all over.
Affliction Warlocks’ counterpart, Demonology Warlock is an absolute powerhouse, dominating in both Mythic+ and Raids. Hence having a low number of parses for Affliction and Destruction Warlocks.
Destruction Warlock
Resource | Mana, Soul Shards | Armor Type | Cloth |
Primary Attribute | Intellect: 9.16 | Specializations | Affliction (ranged DPS), Demonology (ranged DPS), Destruction (ranged DPS) |
Weapon DPS | N/A | Versatility | 4.17 |
Spell Power | 8.31 | Haste | 5.7 |
Critical Strike | 4.43 | Mastery | 4.93 |

Destruction Warlock has an extremely low AoE damage but covers that in Single Target damage. They perform worse than Demonology Warlock, especially when a lot of movement is involved.
They are a bit difficult to play and master, but people who aren’t big gamers might struggle to reach their full potential. They have good potential using Havoc but have no other Utilities.
How Did We Make This Tier List?
We designed this list keeping in mind what specs will provide the most value to the top teams in Mythic+, and keep an interesting discussion going in the comments. However, this does not mean these are the specs you should want in your own team, but rather just a rating of each spec. You can use this rating to combine and make one of the best teams in Mythic+ since not all top-tier specs work well together.
Contrary to all of the previous seasons, where Damage was of the utmost importance, there has been a big change in this season of Dragonflight. We have made a shift from “which action can cause the most damage?”, to ask, “will I be able to survive this one shot?” Albeit, Damage is still of utmost importance, alongside Utility, Survivability takes the top step of the podium this time around.
This Mythic+ Tier List was made keeping all 3 of Survivability, Utility, and Damage in consideration. Damage always has, and always been an important factor for DPS Specializations. Better damage means completing keys in a faster timeframe, and more Damage given means less Damage taken.
Survivability is of the highest importance for this Mythic+ Tier list, with the bosses in this season having high bursts of damage. This meant for specs to have better survivability than ever before to have a standing chance in battle. The utility is the least important variable at hand, but polarizing utility does help tasks to be completed easier than ever before.
Other than the 3 most basic variables, we also made sure to keep in mind which specs provide the most fun when playing, and which are the most difficult. After all, you are all here to have fun in the midst of your gaming.
How Are The Specs Ranked?
We have ranked the specs in multiple tiers, ranging from S Tier, all the way down to D Tier; the lowest tier there is. Here are the exact meanings of each tier.
- S Tier: Here lie the specs that we expect to be at the top of the game, and adding these to your group could help you outnumber any other group.
- A Tier: Specs present in this tier of the Mythic+ Tier List provide a great balance between damage, survivability, and utility.
- B Tier: These specs lack survivability, utility, or damage. Pairing them up with one of the S-Tier or A-Tier specs helps significantly.
- C Tier: Specs in this tier struggle to compete with the upper tiers, due to them lacking multiple of either survivability, utility, or damage.
- D Tier: Specs here are, frankly speaking, the toughest to play. They lack the ability to compete with the top-tier specs in damage and have some inherent mechanical problems. This makes their damage not work as well as it should in dungeons. Apart from this, these specs also suffer from the low tuning of their abilities. They require a large amount of tuning to be able to compete in a clan with the upper echelons.
Keep in mind these fundaments we have used to rank the Mythic+ Tier List as we move forward.

This is all we have for the Mythic+ Tier List for today, we hope this Mythic+ Tier List helped aid in your decision to make the best clan. Whether you have been playing WoW Dragonflight for a long time or just began, this list should help clear up any confusion.
