Un-Named Barbers Locations

There are a total of five un-named barbers you can find in the base game of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Luckily, two of them are in a single location.

Valen

Our first pick to visit for a barbershop is in the Velen. The barbershop is located at the South of the tavern. There are two fast travel opportunities available in Velen if you already visited this region, namely Western Gate and Oxenfurt Harbor. However, if you haven’t been here before, you can always walk right into here on foot or horseback. Here are a couple of images for your reference.

Novigrad – Gildorf and The Bits District

This location is at North West of Velen, and it hosts two barbershops. Once again, if you have never been here before, you got to come here first, and explore the shops to be seen on the world-view of the map. However, if you’ve had business here before, say you visited Vilmerius Hospital or upgraded your sword at a nearby master blacksmith, you’d know how much packed this region is – lots of shops and fast travel points. See images here to find the exact locations for the barbershops in Novigrad’s Gildorf.

Svorlag – Skellige Isles

Svorlag lies on North West side of Skellige Isles. It is pretty easy to spot as it’s a remote island cut-off from nearby colonies. One way to get here quickly is through the three fast travel points: Hov, Old Watchtower, and Svorlag. The barbershop is East of the inn or West of the harbor. Here is an image for your reference.

Claywich

In our Witcher 3 Hairstyles Guide, the next barber sits in a remote village called Claywich, which can be found at the far South end of the infamous Crow’s Perch fast travel point. There is nothing much to see here except to visit a shopkeeper, play Gwent with the villagers, or if you are chasing a Griffin, stop by at the grindstone and sharpen those swords. See the image attached here for the barbershop location.

Blood and Wine DLC – Barbershop Locations

The blood and wine DLC contains two un-named barbers and one named NPC barber who is tied behind a quest. In order to get a haircut from this sophisticated stylist, you need to rescue him first. This may seem like a chore but on completion, you get to a decent haircut opportunity in the DLC map. Unfortunately, nothing comes free in The Witcher 3, not even the powdered monster tissue.

Jean-Louis Ludovic

This barber becomes available to interact after Geralt completes a secondary quest called “Of Sheers and a Witcher I Sing.” Jean-Louis Ludovic, the barber, goes missing, and bard comes to the white wolf pleading for help. Should you take this questline, you’ll come to know that the barber was kidnapped by a knight who goes by the name Beau Duvall. A

Apparently, he was to participate in a tournament. However, after getting a bad haircut from Jean-Louis Ludovic, he decides to attack the poor barber.

The only way to interact with Jean-Louis Ludovic and avail his services of giving a stylish haircut or a shaved beard to Geralt, you’ll need to save him first. He returns to his shop after the completion of the secondary quest. To initiate this questline, you will need to find and talk with Le Papillon. He is the person who assigns you this quest. He can be found somewhere in the South of the Nilfgaardian Embassy fast travel point. Here is an image for a headstart.

Tourney Grounds

The next barber you are looking for is in the Blood and Wine DLC. Luckily, if you are on a spree of winning Gwent cards, you can get the Skellige Storm card after beating this barber in the game of Gwent. Get over to the busy town of Tourney Grounds, and you can spot the barber’s location at the East of the tavern. Again, take a look at the image for the exact location.

Basane Farm

The barber living on Basane farm only appears after Geralt kills a wolf roaming around the vicinity of this small village. Apparently, getting a haircut from this place costs slaying a wolf! Here is an image of the Basane farm.

Named NPC Barbers

These two named NPC barbers in The Witcher 3 have a refined personality as compared to the un-named ones. One of them becomes available to interact very early in the game, while the other one roams in a remote island and becomes available to interact in the later part of the game.

Cledwyn – Vizima Royal Palace

Cledwyn is a part of the “Imperial Audience” quest in the Witcher 3. He is the imperial barber who shaves Geralt’s beard while General Voorhis inquires about recent events. Cledwyn, even though he is a named barber, he is only accessible for the duration of your stay at Royal Palace in Vizima. A cutscene appears when Geralt enters the Guest Room of the Royal Palace, and later Cledwyn shaves Geralt’s beard. Here is an image for you to find Cledwyn.

Sjusta – Kaer Trolde Harbour

Sjusta is many things other than a barber. He can be found at Kaer Trolde Harbor on Ard Skellig, roaming along with random NPCs. Like other barbers mentioned in our The Witcher 3 hairstyles guide, Sjusta is not denoted with a pair of scissors when you try to find him on the map. It is because that is not his forte; he only offers Geralt a haircut when you interact with him for a game of Gwent. Nevertheless, here is the map where you are likely to find him.

Sjusta

That is pretty much all the barbershop locations you can find scattered in the world of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Take a break from hunting noon wraiths or drowners and visit a barbershop in above mentioned places, we are sure Geralt will fancy a shave and haircut every now and then. If not, do it to impress and look good in front of Triss Merigold or Yennefer.

Apart from the main questline, many activities, including that of the barbershops, make The Witcher 3 memorable. Gwent is another great in-game The Witcher 3 card-based feature that many players indulge in and have invested countless hours. If you never tried that one before, be sure to check out our Gwent guide here.
