Some of the well-known IPs owned and licensed by Embracer include:

  • Lord of The Rings
  • The Hobbit
  • Deus Ex
  • Tomb Raider
  • Warhammer 40k
  • Star Wars
  • Borderlands
  • Spongebob Squarepants
  • Duke Nukem

There is a lot of potential for new games within these IPs and in new IPs. We know of a few in development, such as Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II by Saber Interactive. In the earnings report, Embracer also mentions they are partnering with Amazon to develop a new Tomb Raider Title.

While we can speculate what unannounced titles could be in development, Embracer gives us a list of all of their so-far announced titles.

Previously, it has been rumored that a new Deus Ex game is in development at Eidos. The studio, alongside Crystal dynamics, was sold to Embracer by Square Enix. The Deus Ex IP has sat dormant for years, but may be given new life under Embracer.

There is no shortage of IP at Embracer to use for AAA titles. While Embracer may not be as well known as other giants such as Ubisoft, EA, and Take-Two, their massive army of developers and their 130+ studios have the capability to push out high-quality AAA titles quickly.

Embracer Group will release multiple games this year, including Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, Payday 3, Homeworld 3, Remant 2, Dead Island 2, and more.
