Looks Like There’s Already Bad News For Players Pre-Ordering Black Ops 6

Or it could be good news depending on who you ask.

Story Highlights

  • Some players have criticized the decision, while others are satisfied for gameplay reasons.
  • It is best to take these rumors with a grain of salt. The studio has yet to comment.

Black Ops 6 enthusiasts might already have something to worry about. The credible Call of Duty insider @BobNetworkUK on Twitter has clarified that skins from MW 2 and 3 will not transfer over to the upcoming FPS. The news has surprised many fans because all these titles are available on the Call of Duty HQ app. However, when you think about it, the change makes sense.

Modern Warfare 3 was more like a DLC to the previous title, so the skins transferring over to the next game felt natural. However, Black Ops 6 is a separate mainline entry, so the devs may have decided not to allow the transfer. Some players are quite upset with this decision, especially the avid skin collectors. However, many others are happy they will not have to witness Homelander and Nicki Minaj running around during the Gulf War.

Black Ops 6 Has Been In Development For 4 Years

Many players have been waiting for a classic Call of Duty experience, and Black Ops 6 is arguably shaping up to be just that. The title was in the brewer for 4 years, and new info revealed that most of that time was spent on getting Treyarch devs cozy with the Unified engine. The game’s campaign will also have a similar length to the “classic” Call of Duty campaigns. Lastly, devs only recently decided to bring the game to Game Pass.
