The latest update of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 is here and with it brings a rebalance of various weapons, bug fixes, and Quality-of-Life improvements. First, we’ll go over the changes in Warzone 2.0 and then proceed to outline the changes in Modern Warfare 2

The highlight of the patch is all the changes made to the weapons. The rebalanced weapons have had changes made to their damage on specific ranges and what limb you’re targeting. Furthermore, the Lockwood 300 has also received a nerf to its Maelstrom Dual Trigger attachment lowering its damage range. The rebalanced weapons are mentioned as follows:

Assault Rifles:

Submachine Guns

  • ISO 9mm
  • Lachmann Sub
  • Lachmann Shroud
  • Minibak
  • MX9

Another important highlight of this update is the removal of a popular SR exploit that lets players Alt+F4 a match right after losing in order to preserve their SR or K/D ratio. This exploit was also present in Call of Duty Warzone 1 which makes it all the more surprising that it carried over into Warzone 2.0 and was only fixed with this newest update to the game. Aside from that, the patch also included some small bug fixes for Warzone 2.0.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 also received a few improvements from this update, primarily in the form of bug fixes and a really neat quality-of-life addition for a specific skin for Gaia. When you’re using the Operator Nova Skin for Gaia there is now an added visual effect that makes her slightly more visible.

Season 6 of Call of Duty Warzone has been a tremendous success so far thanks to guest appearances from various iconic characters such as Alucard from the Hellsing anime series, Ash Williams from the Evil Dead franchise, Lilith and Inarius from Diablo IV, Skeletor and Spawn from…well…Spawn. Nothing says Halloween like running around dressed as the son of Dracula himself.

The last season of the game also included pop-singer Nicki Minaj as an operator as well which has also led to the concern that Call of Duty is slowly becoming more and more like Fortnite with its many varied guest characters.

Jumping into the Call of Duty Warzone can be an intimidating experience, especially when you consider the overwhelming amount of information you have to digest as a new player. Consider making your life easier with our Warzone 2 weapons tier list and a guide on the best perk packages in Warzone 2
