CRISIS CORE -FFVII- REUNION Release Date Allegedly Leaked

The release date was apparently leaked by a French retailer.

Remakes and remasters have become an integral part of the modern gaming sphere. Molding the nostalgic experiences with the allure of modern graphics and optimized gameplay allow us to recall the memories all over again. Despite its popularity, it is not easy to pull off successful remakes, often leading to broken expectations.

That is why good remakes are praised by the gaming community and appreciated for being well polished. Final Fantasy 7 Remake, for instance, is well-renowned for being a mesmerizing reincarnation of its predecessor. Square Enix is not done with remakes yet; a faithful remake of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is on the horizon. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 was a 2007 sensation on the nostalgic PSP.

After years of fan requests, Square Enix will finally bring back the ultimate classic. The upcoming remake will dive deep into what transpired leading up to the events of Final Fantasy 7. Moreover, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion will also explore the chronicles of Zack and how he is an essential part of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Sephiroth’s history.

The release date for the Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion remake was suspected to fall around the months of this coming winter. The release appears not to have been pushed ahead into 2023, which some of the community suspected. The news comes from a French retailer site named Cdiscount that allegedly listed the release date of the upcoming remake.

The release date is listed as 31/12, which is December 31th. Previously, we were only familiar with the game releasing this winter; the community suspected that it might release at the advent of next year. However, Square Enix is slating towards releasing it in the upcoming December.

Take this news with a grain of salt, as the release date on the French retailer site could be a placeholder or change in the future. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion will not feature additional content, according to one of the game producers. “Crisis Core Reunion’s story is actually going to be a very faithful retelling of the original story, so there’s no additional story content,” said Mariko Sato.

The remake is not only to re-live the nostalgic memories of the 15-year-old classic all over again. This remake is interconnected with the Final Fantasy 7 remake project. The lore of Crisis Core: FFVII Reunion remake is essential for the two upcoming remakes, so fans are looking forward to it.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is coming out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, the Nintendo Switch, and Windows. What are your thoughts about the remake releasing this year? Do let us know your opinions in the comments below.
