Dead Island 2 Sells Over 3 Million Copies Since Launch

Dead Island 2 was one of the best games to release last year, and it certainly did not go unnoticed. The title has now sold over three million copies since its launch, as announced by Embracer Group in its latest Q4 and yearly report. Many players have taken to forums to congratulate the devs on hitting the huge milestone despite reaching its peak a long time ago. Additionally, the game has also climbed over 7 million players.

Dead Island 2 was successfully released on Xbox Game Pass in the quarter and has now sold above 3 million units and reached over 7 million players since launch just over a year ago,” reads the official report.

For those not in the know, Dead Island 2 originally sold its first million in only three days after its release, hitting the next million in a single month. The sales then slowed down, but the release of expansions and many updates have kept the game alive and thriving.
