Elden Ring Player To Sue FromSoftware; Says Devs Are Hiding A Whole New Game That Players Can’t Access

An Elden Ring player on 4chan is planning to sue FromSoftware over claims that a part of the game is inaccessible to the average player. The user argues that all the cut content we actually see from dataminers is just the part hidden behind difficult challenges. He has used examples to justify his claims from various FromSoftware titles, including Sekiro and Bloodborne, claiming they also have inaccessible content.

He plans to take FromSoftware to court on September 25 this year to dispute that a “whole new game” is hidden inside Elden Ring, which is too difficult to access even for the “most dedicated fans.” In actuality, the cut content is just a part of game development that is left out of the final version due to a plethora of reasons.

Narrative Designer Debunks The Claims Of The Elden Ring Player

While many disagreed with the player’s claims, the narrative designer behind the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw series, Justin Leeper, also chimed in with his experience. He said that he made “volumes of texts” on back story and lore during game development to help writers have context and inform design and art decisions. These details were not meant for players, including the bulk of concept art. It’s a similar situation for Elden Ring devs.
