Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is arguably the most successful first-party Xbox launch of this generation. But, it may have already been bested. As per the top current global-selling Steam games, Sony’s Ghost of Tsushima is outselling the new Hellblade sequel. The exact sales figures are unknown at the moment. So, it might be too early to draw conclusions since the cinematic RPG just came out.
GoT has been wreaking havoc ever since its PC port launched on Steam—and even before that, honestly. It has been highly successful, but Senua’s new adventure is also nothing to scoff at. It has yet to reach any major milestones, but it is a different story for Ghost of Tsushima. The title has become Steam’s biggest single-player Sony launch despite the PSN backlash.
Is Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Already Struggling To Stand On Its Feet?
It is currently unclear whether Ninja Theory’s new launch is failing to hold up as per the initial expectations. The active player count of both games throws another wrench in the mix. Ghost of Tsushima is standing at an excellent all-time peak of 77k. On the other hand, Hellblade 2 has still yet to cross the 4k mark. Most players are likely playing it through PC Game Pass or on their Xbox consoles.
