Story Highlights
- God of War Ragnarok is one of the biggest exclusives PlayStation has ever had.
- Developer Santa Monica Studio has released another episode of Midgard Mishaps.
- The video goes over bloopers from God of War Ragnarok’s development.
To be honest with you, I thought PlayStation had announced DLC for God of War Ragnarok when I first caught a glance at the headline of the video, but what’s really popped up is nothing less in terms of sheer entertainment. Santa Monica Studio, similar to last time with the first God of War, has released curated excerpts from Ragnarok’s pre-development footage, titling it Midgard Mishaps, and it’s too good, frankly.
The new episode of Midgard Mishaps falls on God of War Ragnarok’s first anniversary, a momentous occasion for Santa Monica Studio which has gone on to manifest one of the finest exclusives PlayStation, or the world for that matter, has ever seen. Back in 2018, the devs released Midgard Mishaps for the first time, funnily showcasing some of the things that went wrong during the making of the first game.
It has officially been 1 year since the launch of #GodOfWarRagnarok! 🥳 Let’s see what Kratos and Atreus have been up to…

Santa Monica has also partnered up with Spud Gun Studios to create a 30-minute LoFi music track for God of War fans, blended with the original score of Ragnarok, and comprising a mix of 3 different tunes. “Join Atreus in the Realm Between Realms for some tunes so chill we thought Fimbulwinter was back. Perfect for reading, journaling, or beating up monsters to,” reads the video description.

In other news that you might want to stay up to speed on, multiple reports throughout 2023 have said that DLC for God of War Ragnarok is in the works, but we still can’t quite put our finger on what to expect. Quite recently, a Spanish media outlet was tipped off that the game is getting additional content and it’s going to be announced soon, likely something that would focus on Atreus tying up loose threads.
God of War Ragnarok was released on November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. eXputer gave the game a 4.5/5 rating, highlighting its sensational soundtrack, dynamically improved combat, great world-building, and a terrific storyline that’s no less than a treat for die-hard God of War fans that shows how far the protagonist has come from his olden days in Sparta.
