- According to the developer, the game has rolled over more than 1 million units to date.
- These figures have been achieved in less than two weeks following Fantasy: Relink’s launch.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink has been a successful venture for Japanese developer Cygames so far. As per a new post on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the title has amassed more than 1 million units within two weeks of its global release. Those are solid numbers, given the time frame involved, and thanks to the JRPG’s glaring success, the dev intends to push post-launch support and keep more updates coming.
After just 11 days, Granblue Fantasy: Relink has sold over 1 million copies worldwide! A million thanks to our wonderful community of skyfarers for helping us reach this milestone. We have more updates on the horizon, so stay tuned!” confirms Cygames’ X authority.
One could easily foresee the type of success Granblue Fantasy: Relink would bring in even before its launch. The game’s demo, which was released earlier in January this year — a month before its actual release — clocked over 600,000 downloads across the board, signaling well-grounded fanfare for the RPG. When the title did come out, it went ahead and amassed more than 100,000 concurrent PC players as well.
And things didn’t just get sidelined there, Propagating the glad tidings is Fantasy: Relink’s ranking on Steam’s top-seller charts, where the title seemingly labeled itself successful (again) and became the third best-seller in the paid games category, trailing just behind Palworld and Helldivers 2, and a number of other free-to-play titles, but those don’t count.
