Granblue Fantasy: Relink has been making a killing in recent times making a name for itself on Steam’s top-sellers list, and amassing over 114,000 players on PC, as per stats provided by unofficial tracker website SteamDB. These analytics come to light in just one week following the JRPG’s global release, following its initial announcement in 2016.

Just about 3 days ago, the title surpassed more than 100,000 players on Steam, and it’s averaging about 80,000 players every day. But wait, that’s not it—you’ve got Granblue Fantasy: Relink coming up on Steam’s top-sellers list as well, trailing behind only a handful of paid titles, including Palworld — an astoundingly successful new release — and Helldivers 2, Arrowhead’s latest third-person shooter.

Player reception with Fantasy: Relink has been great overall as well. One u/Mixaboy on Reddit remarks on the game with the following words, highlighting the sheer effort that Pocketpair put into the title to make it so stand-out as far as the competition is concerned.

They did a spectacular job of turning a game based on gacha mechanics into a one-time buy-to-play experience. I like that it still uses character ‘pull’ tickets like in a mobile game, but here you earn them just for progressing the main game and then select whichever characters you want in any order; and by the early stages of endgame, you’ll have the entire roster.
