My Vane build mainly focuses on making him a sturdy tank that can take more hits than anyone else. Vane is already a pretty good tank, but my recommended best abilities, sigils, and weapons will surely make him extremely better in Granblue Fantasy Relink.

  • Can take a lot of hits.
  • Have some of the best defensive skills.
  • Can stay on the battlefield for the longest.
  • Pretty easy to play with.
  • Can heal himself mid-battle.
  • Not ideal to play as a main.

Best Skills For Vane

You need to focus on Vane’s best defensive skills, but one of them can be offensive as well.

The following are my recommended skills for Vane:

  • Rift Devider: An offensive skill that deals some damage to the opponent but also pulls the opponent towards you.
  • Drachenslotz: Another great defensive skill that allows Vane to survive lethal damages and survive with only 1HP. When the skill is activated, you will gain a boost in defense and attack.
  • Heroic Blast: Vane can take a lot of hits, but of course, he can die, too, so using Heroic Blast from time to time will prevent that. This skill will not only deal damage to the opponent but also restore Vane’s health.
  • Rampart: Upon activation, Vane will cast a circle with a status effect that nullifies all the damage taken.

The aforementioned abilities are the best ones for the Vane build, as per my experience in Granblue Fantasy Relink.

Vane’s Best Gear

Vane’s Weapon And Sigils Showcase In Granblue Fantasy Relink (Capture By eXputer)

For gear, I recommend the following:

Signature Weapon Is Pretty Good: You can choose Alabarda, Vane’s signature weapon, as it is pretty good and does the job. The main goal is to make Vane a sturdy tank, and it doesn’t get in the way of that. I haven’t upgraded it that much, but at level 10, it has an HP sigil, which comes in Handy.

Sigils To Make Him More Sturdy: I recommend using Health, Stun Power, and Attack Power Sigil, as they can help you throughout the combat. You can also equip a Defensive Sigil instead of the Stun or Attack Power one.

Mastery

Without mastery, you won’t be able to utilize the skills, so you would need to spend some points there. Vane utilizes defensive skills, so you must invest more in that. However, you would also need to invest in the offensive skill section to unlock more sigil slots.

With that said, spend your mastery points wisely, as you can skip some entries from the tree. Aside from that, when your character reaches level 100, make sure to try out the over-mastery section for more buffs. You can see the additional buffs my character has in the image above. They are not the best, but they work pretty well for now.

Vane Build PlayStyle

Vane isn’t complicated to learn, as he is a straightforward character who ensures your party survives the battle.

  • Straightforward Play Style: Vane offers a straightforward playstyle, but you must learn his combos if you want to play him yourself. While they are not that hard, they can take time for you to master. I recommend playing with a DPS and letting the AI control Vane, as that will be ideal.

If you want to play with Vane, I recommend changing the weapon for more damage. You can also change sigils based on the team you have. However, the ideal way to use Vane is as a tank that can take damage for all of the team.

My Take On Vane As A Tank

I think Vane is the best Tank in Granblue Fantasy Relink due to his unnarrated defensive skills.

Vane can restore all his health with one ability that makes him a reliable tank. He even provides the team with invincibility for a while that nullifies any damage from the opponent. There are some more tanks in-game, but none can compare to Vane, as he refuses to go down before his team.

That is almost everything you would want to know about the best build for Vane in Granblue Fantasy Relink. While you are at it, you should check out the complete review of Granblue Fantasy Relink.
