1. Vane
- Why I Chose This Character: Vane is the most balanced character with almost no weaknesses which is why I used him in the toughest boss battles.
Tanks are pretty rare in titles like Granblue Fantasy Relink, but thankfully, Vane is present this time and is an extremely strong tank character. He has extremely strong attacks that fill up his combo bar, which can then be used to heal the character with more attacks once the combo bar gets filled.
Not only can his skills deal massive damage to bosses, but they can also heal the character, making Vane an unstoppable tank. He can even survive a fatal hit at low health and create an AOE barrier protecting his whole team from enemy attacks. Overall, Vane is the best character choice for post-endgame content after you finish the story and unlock raids.

2. Lancelot
- Why I Chose This Character: Lancelot was such a huge help during my early game; I easily defeated most of the story bosses while using him.
Damage-wise, Lancelot is undoubtedly the strongest character in Granblue Fantasy Relink and is my favorite choice. He is the only character in the game who can dodge infinitely within combos and his attacks get stronger the longer you combo them.
Lancelot can be essentially used to melt boss health bars, especially during the early game. As soon as you get your hands on a crewmate card, you should recruit Lancelot to your party.

3. Cagliostro
- Why I Chose This Character: Cagliostro is an amazing character with both offensive and defensive playstyles and her spells allowed me to deal with bosses from range.
Even though Cagliostro is a hybrid mage character, she possesses offensive and defensive abilities. Her skills can not only support the entire team but can also be used to deal big damage to enemies and bosses in Granblue Fantasy Relink.
My only gripe with this character is that the offensive spells need to be aimed, and damage-dealing attacks need to be charged which can be really tough on agile bosses. Otherwise, she can put debuffs on enemies and can bless her own party with buffs.

4. Rosetta
- Why I Chose This Character: Rosetta continued to stay in my party for most of the story and I was even using her as a main in levels where gank fights were common.
The best part about using Rosetta is that not only do you get a strong AOE character but also that she is available to use right from the start and you do not need to spend any crewmate cards to get her. She is an exceptional character for dealing with ganks and low-level fodders because her skills can create roses around the battlefield which keep damaging opponents.
Even her basic attacks can deal damage from range and her combos can create even more roses. Her only weakness is that you really can’t main her in a boss fight. Even though she’s a great character in clearing ganks, she is not that effective against bosses as a main.

5. Main Character
- Why I Chose This Character: I mained the protagonist until the mid-game and was basically forced to keep them in the party due to the significance of the plot but thankfully, they turned out to be a great support character.
The main character is the one that you choose at the beginning of the story. It can be a male or a female depending on your choice but that does not change his/her moveset. Aside from being a great captain during the early game, the protagonist is the perfect support for your party if you decide to main another character.
He/she has amazing healing skills that can regenerate health for your entire party, which can become extremely useful during exceptionally tough boss battles. The protagonist can even put debuffs on enemies and buff their team.
