Granblue Fantasy Relink: Best Percival Build [Personal Favourite]

I came up with this build after trying out various skills, weapons and sigils for Percival in Granblue Fantasy Relink and this is the best build for it!

Percival is among the 12 unlockable Crewmates you can recruit from Seiro’s Knickknack Shack in Folca. Percival is that type of character that you should get your hands on as soon as you can in GFR. His offensive skills along with his fire element, surpasses many other choosable crewmates in the beginning. Having spent numerous hours on GFR, making Percival’s build requires selecting the finest weapons with the utmost care in Granblue Fantasy Relink.

Key Takeaways
  • Percival is a fire element crewmate who can be recruited by exchanging a Crewmate Card with Seiro.
  • In order to make the best Percival build, you have to pick the very best accessories and weaponry for him.
  • One of the best weapons for Percival in Granblue Fantasy Relink is Antwerp.
  • For the best skills, you should go for Macht, Zerreissen, Feuerangriff, and Royal Authority.
  • The best Sigils will most definitely be Quick Charge, Critical Hit Rate, Attack Power, and Quick Cooldown.
  • Why Trust Us: With around 10+ hours in Granblue Fantasy Relink and after completing more than half of the main storyline, I can safely say that I’ve had enough experience to make the best possible build for Percival and that you can trust the following information.

To create the best build for Percival, you must know what kind of a Fire Character he is.

  • Ability: Based on what I experienced with Percival, he excels as an early Crewmate Card due to his potent Charged Attack Abilities.
  • Accessibility: He’s easy to play, packs a punch with heavy-hitting skills, boosts the party’s performance, and poses a formidable presence.

To maximize his capabilities, the following table is how you would be able to make the best Percival build:

2. Zerreissen
3. Feuerangriff
4. Royal Authority
Best Sigils1. Quick Charge

Best Percival Weapon

  • Why I Chose Antwerp: I saw that the blade boosts damage against weak points and attacks from behind, adding to Percival’s Charged Attack Abilities.

Weapon NameWeapon LevelHit PointsAttackWeapon Trait
Antwerp65746143Weak Point Damage

With an Execution Weapon like Antwerp, you won’t have to worry about the weapon damage in the game. In my opinion, the trait really suits the character of Percival in Granblue Fantasy Relink, which is to charge and attack from all angles.

How To Get

Antwerp requires “Weapon Materials” so that you can forge it from the blacksmith. You cannot find it inside the chest, so the materials mentioned above will be needed to craft it.

Best SkillsDescriptionWhy I Chose It
MachtA lunging slash that deals a high amount of stun. Grants Stout Heart to Percival while lunging. Schlacht charges faster when charged right after.Combining the lunging slash with a fire-based charging character's abilities can create devastating combos
ZerreissenA lunging thrust attack that inflicts Burn. Schlacht charges faster when charged right after the attack. The Burn inflicted by the lunging thrust attack adds a Damage over Time effect to your arsenal and its effective against enemies with high health pools. It also disrupts the enemy's focus by forcing them to deal with the ongoing burn damage.
FeuerangriffUnleashes a series of slashes. Schlacht charges faster when charged right after the attack.A series of slashes implies rapid and consecutive strikes, leading to a high burst damage potential. This can be crucial for quickly eliminating or heavily damaging enemies.
Royal AuthorityExpels fire from the ground around Percival. Schlacht charges faster when charged right after the attackThe fire coming from the ground around Percival implies an area-of-effect attack, making it effective against groups of enemies forced in close proximity.

Best Percival Sigils

Best SigilsDescriptionWhy I Chose It
Quick ChargeSpeeds up the charge time of SchlachtI See it as a Faster Schlacht charging means you can unleash your powerful attack more frequently. you would do higher damage output over time, making Percival a more significant threat in offense.
Critical Hit RateBoosts the chance of landing critical hits for extra damage. The way I think it is that Critical hits typically deal higher damage than regular attacks and by boosting the chance of landing critical hits Percival's damage potential is increased ofcourse.
Attack PowerIncreases overall attack power. Some enemies may have resistances or vulnerabilities to certain types of damage so by increasing overall attack power Percival becomes more adaptable.
Quick CooldownReduces skill cooldown, allowing you to use Schlacht-boosting skills more frequently. As a passive ability, the reduced skill cooldowns offer a consistent and reliable boost to Percival's performance which is why I think its the best option as your 4th Sigil.

Pros And Cons Of This Percival Build

  • High Burst Damage.
  • Versatile Combo Potential.
  • Formidable Presence.
  • Early Game Dominance.
  • Easy To Play.
  • Perceived Weakness.
  • Limited Information.
  • Weapon Crafting Required.
  • Elemental Dependency.
  • Skill Cooldown Management.

My Take On This Percival Build

It took me a while to get down to this build for Percival, but in my opinion, it’s the best you can make early on. Percival was one of the best characters I unlocked early on, so I had time to know what worked for the character and what did not. The purpose of this build is to make a charge attack build that makes you stay on your enemy constantly while getting the defense and support from your team.

A lot of people have perceived Percival as a bad character, but from my point of view, he is the best early crewmate you can recruit, especially if you are around chapter 4 or 6. I would suggest you try out this build for yourself and mess around the online quest with your party. You will definitely dominate the enemy, especially at the earlier stages of your online quests!

So this was the best possible build you could make for the Percival Crewmate.
