Horizon Forbidden West Crowned With Siggarph’s Best In Show Award

The presentation showing the allure of the Decima Engine won the trophy.

Horizon Forbidden West continues to follow the chronicles of Aloy and further explores the fascinating world of the Horizon universe. The title was regarded as a great successor to prior Horizon Zero Dawn, developed by Guerrilla Games, which won the hearts of millions. Horizon universe is set in a post-apocalyptic world caused by a rogue robot swarm.

Only remnants of organic life exist as most of the ecosystem is replaced by mechanical creatures resembling dinosaurs. The open world experience is enriched with insane graphics and awe-inspiring world-building. The action role-playing title was released in February and has dominated the charts worldwide.

Horizon Forbidden West is a rightful contender to win the GOTY (Game Of The Year) award, but the competition is immensely tough this year. Releases like Elden Ring and God of War: Ragnarok slated for release later this year could take the award. However, it seems Horizon Forbidden West is also aiming for other awards.

The Decima Engine has played a significant role in developing the enchanting world of the Horizon universe. It was just a matter of time before associations like Siggarph took notice. It is a yearly event where the hot shots of rendering unveil their latest achievements, discoveries, and developments. Siggarph is where research papers are shown with upcoming wonders of rendering tech.

Horizon Forbidden West has already won two other significant trophies, one dubbed the “Best Game award.” The title was also got crowned the winner of “Best Visual Arts.” The intriguing title has already won some major trophies. However, this year’s real competition will be during the “Game of the Year” award.

Horizon Forbidden West may continue to be crowned more awards before the GOTY event as the grains fall in the hourglass. What are your thoughts concerning the reward? Do let us know your opinions in the comments below.
