The partnership between Lego and Fortnite has been quite alluring ever since its announcement last year. The official Lego Twitter handle has finally confirmed an official release date for the Lego Fortnite mode, which is a survival crafting experience to test your wits. The Lego-inspired mode is going to launch in-game in Fortnite on December 7. It will feature special avatars, emotes, outfits, and more that resemble the nostalgic Lego art style.

The 22-second trailer shared in the tweet provides a bunch of hints about what we can expect from the new Lego-themed mode. It is essentially a Minecraft-like experience where players will be able to mine and build around an open world to survive. While it is targeted towards kids, all age groups will find enjoyment in the new gameplay crafted by the giant collaboration.

LEGO Fortnite is the ultimate survival crafting LEGO adventure. It introduces vast, open worlds where the magic of LEGO building and Fortnite collide. Designed for people of all ages to enjoy together, the game will encourage creativity, experimentation and collaboration through play,” states the official Epic Games website.

The alliance between Epic Games and Lego Group goes back to April last year. Both the giants previously announced that they would join forces together to “build a space in the metaverse that’s fun, entertaining, and made for kids and families.” Epic also revealed a $2 billion funding last year that was divided between Sony and Kirkbi, an investment group owned by Lego Group’s parent company, to build a metaverse for kids.
