It is possible that the rest is planned for future DLCs.

Story Highlights

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 voice actor Tony Todd recently shared that only 10% of record Venom Dialog was used in the title.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 voice actor Tony Todd has recently confirmed that Insomniac only used 10% of the recorded Venom dialog when speaking at a panel at Fan Expo San Francisco. As caught by @EvanFilarca on Twitter, the rest of the voice lines have been either scrapped or kept for future content. The voice actor has not further elaborated on the matter, likely because of the underlying NDAs by the company.

However, we do know that some of the voice lines have been scrapped entirely in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Initially, Insomniac Games had planned to have Miles Morales also become the victim of the Symbiote. Things took a turn, and the plan was shelved away to obscurity. It is likely that those voice lines will not be used again. The same cannot be said about the other voice lines, however.

The fans are already speculating about the fate of other recorded voice lines. They may be shelved away to be used for a Venom DLC in the future. Some have even suggested a separate game focused on Venom. There have been rumors for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC in the past —fans and devs alike have pointed fingers towards Daredevil. Other rumors also talk about Carnage or something completely new.
