Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has seemingly shattered the olden records at PlayStation and made headlines across the gaming industry. It has sold over 2.5 million copies in 24 hours, becoming the fastest-selling PlayStation game in its extensive history. The staggering news was announced by none other than the PlayStation Twitter page, boasting the game’s triumphant launch to the world.

The fans are speculating that the game could have sold even more copies, possibly reaching 5 million sales, if it was available on the PlayStation 4 as well. Nevertheless, Insomniac Games has earned quite a bit of a reputation after launching the last two Marvel Spider-Man projects. It has helped the studio sell such a huge number of copies. The famous team of devs is already working on its next superhero game, Marvel’s Wolverine.
