The Blood of Dawnwalker Has Launched To A Great Reception

SteamDB’s charts for the game show an all-time peak of roughly 74,000 concurrent players with an overall positive rating of 80.28% over 10k reviews. PlayStation Store also shows the same level of positive reception, with a rating of 4.56 over 4.4K reviews.
The numbers are backed up by critics too. OpenCritic has the game at an 85 average with a 93% critic recommendation rate, a “Mighty” rating that puts it in the top 7% of games on the site. It’s clear the game is a hit among both fans and critics.
Set in an alternate 14th-century Europe overrun by vampires, it casts players as Coen, human by day and vampire by night, racing a 30-day in-game clock to save his family, a mechanic that’s split opinion among players but hasn’t slowed sales. Additionally, a rocky pre-launch stretch over console framerate, where Rebel Wolves initially confirmed no 60 FPS option on PS5, PS5 Pro, or Xbox Series X before reversing course days before release and adding one through a day-one patch, didn’t affect the overall reception either.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and Xbox on PC)
