MultiVersus Open Beta Releases In July

The cinematic trailer for the MultiVersus has been officially unveiled.

MultiVersus incorporates a massive roster of Warner Bros’ intellectual properties intertwined in the same universe. From Shaggy to Batman standing side by side to Bugs Bunny materializing out of nowhere, the game presents with nostalgic characters all put against each other to throw hands in this outlandish platform fighter.

Developed by Player First Games, MultiVersus is a platform fighter that is very reminiscent of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.  Players must strive to knock opponents out of the supposed arena by causing damage. Now, Batman can duke it out against none other than Jake The Dog from Adventure Time.

MultiVersus is based on a simple premise, yet it expands upon the genre by introducing a wide array of fan-favorite rosters. The more damage a character nurtures, the easier it will be to send them flying into the clouds. After months of leaks and rumors, Player First Games has finally revealed the cinematic trailer for this peculiar title and announced an Open Beta for the game that is supposedly arriving this July.

The trailer starts with Batman in his Batcave, stirring up new trouble before being summoned into the vast green field. Then, we witness Shaggy trying to take a bite out of his sandwich amid the chaos before it disintegrates in the trailer. He transforms into ultra instinct as he gets ready to take revenge for his sandwich that he never got to savor, thus freeing his outrage against Bugs Bunny and Aria Stark from the Game Of Thrones universe.

As the altercation winds further out of control, players are gifted with the reveal of several character appearances, including Finn from Adventure Time, Garnet from Steven Universe, Harley Quinn, and Superman. The trailer also affirms a duo of new playable MultiVersus fighters not known before, The Tasmanian Devil and The Iron Giant, garnished with his own Superman logo.

The Open Beta ought to reveal the scope of the alluring MultiVersus. The game is aiming to sew together characters of wholly different universes. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may finally have a competitor in the near future. However, dethroning the most beloved platform title is no easy feat.
