Persona 5 Tactica Accidentally Released On Steam Over A Week Early

Persona 5 Tactica was seemingly released on Steam over a week early out of nowhere. It was an accident that made the game available on the platform for quite a bit of time before it was struck down again. Many users who were eagerly waiting for the launch were suddenly able to gain access to the title and purchase it before the devs noticed anything wrong with the Steam page. It is not available to be bought anymore at the time of writing.

The availability of the game was recorded by many in the community, like the Twitter user @Wario64. The Steam tracking site SteamDB also recorded the random change that made Persona 5 Tactica available for everyone. It could be bought for about 20 to 45 minutes before the fix locked it behind the release timer again. The Steam page went through different bizzare release dates before settling on the intended one.

However, that time was plenty for most Persona fans who noticed the peculiarity and jumped at the opportunity to play the entry. For instance, the Twitter user @ScrambledFaz was able to have their way with Persona 5 Tactica. Some other players reported that the title stopped working as soon as the title was locked behind the release timer again. Atlus likely revoked access from all players along with the fix.

Although, it is unclear whether a user was able to make the game go offline before the access was snatched. It is possible that some could still be able to play it. However, we suggest trekking through the Persona communities and even the rest of the internet with a lot of care. The spoilers spawning because of the accident could likely ruin your honeymoon phase with Persona 5 Tactica, after all.

The spin-off takes place in the Persona universe concurrently with the events of Persona 5. It’s anticipated to be a challenging yet an engaging experience that retains the classic turn-based strategy RPG genre characteristics and more. It is expected to sell in the millions like the Persona 5 series, which has rolled over 9 million copies.

Persona 5 Tactica is slated to officially release on November 17, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.
