Peter And Miles To Get 5 Exclusive Suits Each In Spider-Man 2

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is looking like hot stuff right now, given how the State of Play event was generous enough to showcase more of the upcoming action-adventure before its impending release. Apart from the gameplay reveal and the pizzazz of both Miles and Peter, PlayStation has announced the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, and it packs a whole lot of goodies.

As per the reveal trailer, there are some pretty wild iterations for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales this time around with the suits. A total of ten unique costumes will be available for folks who buy the Digital Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man 2, with five of them going to Peter’s name while the rest coming to Miles. At the end of the trailer, each suit along with the rest of the bonuses and perks have been laid out. 

Those looking to pre-order this edition of the game will find something enticing to persuade them further. Aside from the regular content that you’ll receive upon purchasing Spider-Man 2’s Digital Deluxe Edition, pre-ordering the special variant will come with three additional bonuses, namely “Two early unlock suits (Peter and Miles),” a Web Grabber gadget, and 3 additional skill points. PlayStation’s State of Play also revealed a sub-4-minute video of Spider-Man 2, where Bryan Intihar — Insomniac’s Senior Creative Director — went over some of the most noticeable expansions in the upcoming game.  

First off, the size of New York has been “nearly doubled” in the sequel, now featuring two more extensive areas to roam around in, namely Queens and Brooklyn. Moreover, there’s the inclusion of “web wings” in Spider-Man 2, which seems to be a fantastic way of navigating through the city at faster speeds. Lastly, the title will introduce the feature of switching between the two Spider-Men in almost a blink of an eye, thereby fully utilizing the PlayStation 5’s compelling hardware.

Lastly, PlayStation hasn’t only revealed the Digital Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man 2 so far—there’s also the costly Collector’s Edition that the company unveiled earlier in September. Do proceed with caution with this one though, as the marketing behind it looks fairly concerning. I know I sure am, especially after PlayStation Studio’s Director of Sound Jeremie Voillot hyped up Spider-Man 2, holding it in high words. “I’m not sure the world is quite prepared for what they are about to release upon it – it’s stunning, and in my humble opinion, their best work yet,” said the PlayStation official. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 makes landfall for the PlayStation 5 exclusively on October 20, 2023, with no cross-gen compatibility. There’s also going to be no early access for the title at hand, no matter what edition you purchase of it.
