Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Have Disastrous Performance Issues On Launch

Players are facing performance issues while playing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were officially released today on Nintendo Switch. Many players who’ve bought the game have reported that they’ve experienced bugs and performance issues in the newly released game.

Aside from performance issues, the game also has a lot of graphical glitches. Not to mention the low texture quality compared to the older games in the franchise. Many players have also suffered headaches and nausea from playing the game for a couple of hours due to the game’s lighting, lag, and colors.

Major Takeaways:

  • Players have encountered several performance and graphics issues in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
  • Several players feel headaches and nausea after playing the game for a couple of hours.
  • A glitch has also been discovered that lets you skip regions 1 to 4.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been victims of leaks before their official release.

A Twitter user was uploading their playthrough of Pokemon Violet on Twitter a couple of weeks before the game’s release date.

The Twitter account was quickly banned, but the screenshots the user uploaded had already made their way to social media platforms. After that, a user live streamed their playthrough on Trovo a week before the game’s release.

Despite all the leaks, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were released on November 18. The players who bought the game took to social media to post about the issues they’ve encountered while playing the game on their hand-held consoles.

The most commonly reported issues on Pokemon’s subreddit were with the game’s optimization and its lack of smooth performance on Switch.

Many other users have also reported similar performance issues.

Many players also encountered unique bugs that would remind you of Cyberpunk 2077‘s launch day.

The biggest problem with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is that many players have complained on Reddit about suffering headaches after playing the games. The game’s lag, paired with the lighting and colors, makes people feel nauseous to the point that they must put the game down and rest.

Other than these issues, we have the game’s low-quality graphics. The game looks incredibly unpolished, and a patch is desperately needed to fix all these bugs and glitches.

However, Game Freak isn’t well-known for taking feedback from its audience. So, we can’t be sure when the patch to fix all the issues with the game will be released.

A Reddit user also discovered a glitch that lets you skip regions from Area 1 to Area 4 instantly. The glitch involves throwing a Pokeball at a Pokemon on the other cliff. You’ll be teleported to the other cliff when the battle begins.

From there, you can run away from battle or do anything you’d want in Area 4. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to catch the Pokemon in that region because of the level difference.

Let us know if you’ve also encountered any bugs and issues while playing the newly released Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
