In the latter part of the trailer, some more gameplay footage is shown off as well, with the protagonist taking on different types of enemies, including a heavy-class foe that employs a seemingly unblockable grabbing move that you will have to get out of the way of. Other elements of gameplay, such as stealth takedowns, ranged combat, and special attacks with guns have been highlighted as well.

Explore a historically inspired world. Witness beautiful landscapes from late 19th century Bakumatsu Japan with Edo (Tokyo), Kyoto and Yokohama.Available March 22, 2024 only on PS5! Pre-order now for in-game bonuses,” reads the trailer’s description.

On a side note, Rise of the Ronin will not be released in South Korea, PlayStation confirmed earlier; if you’re somewhere in that region, you’ll be needing to sit this one out. There are going to be no physical or digital copies of the action-adventure available, and despite the recent influx of news that correlated this occurrence with the game director’s controversial remarks, Sony affirmed this decision is from way before.
