Most Rocksteady Devs Are Allegedly Working On A Hogwarts Legacy Director’s Cut

The studio also reportedly wants to pitch a single-player title.

Story Highlights

  • As per a new report, most Rocksteady devs are allegedly working on a Hogwarts Legacy director’s cut.
  • The details about the new version of the RPG are still unclear, but devs may reveal them in the future.
  • The studio leaders are also reportedly preparing to pitch a new single-player game to Warner Bros.

Jason Schreier of Bloomberg has published a new report regarding the behind-the-scenes of Suicide Squad’s intense failure this year. It also revealed that most of the Rocksteady devs are allegedly developing a new version of Hogwarts Legacy. It is reportedly dubbed the “director’s cut,” with many devs in the studio joining hands to help work on it. However, the studio is also seemingly preparing to get ready for its next entry.

Jason also mentions that the studio leaders are reportedly preparing to pitch its next single-player project. It is an attempt to return to Rocksteady’s roots, which helped the company shine in the gaming industry. However, nothing much of significance is known at the moment to pinpoint the nature of this project.

Details Regarding The New Hogwarts Legacy Version Are Still Unclear

One thing worth noting is that almost nothing about the new director’s cut is known. Regardless, one thing that is severely bothering gamers is that Rocksteady appears to have completely abandoned Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to work on the new Hogwarts Legacy version. Others argue that one cannot blame the studio since the game is already pretty much dead on Steam now, with players barely reaching a hundred at times.

All in all, it is best to take the report with a pinch of salt despite Jason’s immense credibility in the industry. Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have currently not confirmed any of the details that have been discussed here so far. However, we may learn more in the future as the director’s cut release draws near.
