The Invincible Launch Trailer Kicks Off Its Release

And fans now want a PSVR2 version.

Story Highlights

  • The Invincible is primarily a novel, then a game adaptation, developed by Starward Industries.
  • The devs have released a launch trailer for The Invincible, announcing its official release.
  • The title itself is a sci-fi game, played from a first-person camera perspective.

Although November remains to be packed with some top-notch releases, none of them carry the mystery quite like The Invincible. Developed by Starward Industries — a studio that comprises veteran folks from studios such as Techland and CD Projekt Red — the title at hand is played from a first-person perspective, and is rooted deep in the sci-fi genre. Moreover, its launch trailer is also out, announcing its release.

A bit of backstory on The Invincible before you go ahead and pick it up: The game is based on Stanisław Lem’s novel titled very much the same, and despite drawing heavy inspiration from the work of Lem, it’s still not a one-to-one adaptation at the end of the day. First off, the protagonist featured is totally unique, called Yasna, and the art style that it’s been made to follow is a class apart as well.

Catch Up on Recent News:

Since the adventure-centric title has been out for a day now, early reviews are already out, insinuating that The Invincible has a lot going on for itself. On Steam, the title’s review rating is sitting at “Very Positive” at the moment and Metacritic scores don’t look bad either. So far, the visuals have received much love from the side of fans and critics alike, not to mention its dialogue, overall environment, and plotline.

Developer Starward Industries also took note of all the praise its title has been getting and thereby posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), declaring the news in the wake of it. While that happened, the dev has also acknowledged the lack of ultrawide screen resolution for certain monitors. It says, “We are planning on making improvements to the ultra widescreen resolutions in later patches.”

The Invincible was released on November 6 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In recent times, we held an interview with the title’s director, Marek Markuszewski, going over some of the things players can expect from the sci-fi thriller, including its various endings — all of which boast a pessimistic nature — and the total story length.
