Naughty Dog Reveals New Concept Art For The Last Of Us Multiplayer Game

Neil Druckmann has released a statement on The Last of Us' 10th anniversary.

Neil Druckmann revealed in his statement that The Last of Us is turning 10 come June 2023. The co-president also revealed a new piece of concept art for The Last of Us multiplayer game.

Naughty Dog also revealed that the Last of Us franchise had sold more than 37 million copies globally as of December 2022. Among other announcements in the official statement, Neil Druckmann ensured that the PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 would be coming on March 3.

The Last of Us was released almost a decade ago, on June 14, 2013, for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game was an astounding success and served as a foundation for the rest of the franchise that will go down in history as one of the very best in PlayStation history.

In September 2022, Naughty Dog released The Last of Us Part 1 remake for the new-gen console, PlayStation 5. The PC version of the remake is set to arrive on March 3, 2023. 

Naughty Dog also released The Last of Us Part 2 for the PlayStation 4 in June 2020. The game then went on win many awards, including The Game Awards 2020’s Game of the Year.

In the official statement, Neil Druckmann wished all the players a very Happy New Year and announced the upcoming 10th anniversary of The Last of Us franchise. The co-president appreciated the fan’s support in any way or form since the series made its debut.

The statement also revealed that The Last of Us Part 1’s PC version’s features and specs would be announced ahead of its launch in March.

Neil revealed also shared some details about the under-development The Last of Us multiplayer game along with a new piece of concept art. Vini Agarwal, Joe Pettinati, and Anthony Newman lead the development team of The Last of Us multiplayer game.

This isn’t the first time Naughty Dog has shared concept art for the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game. The company shared another concept art in a blog post right before the 9th anniversary of The Last of Us franchise.

Towards the end of the statement, Neil announced that The Last of Us TV adaption would be premiering on HBO and HBO Max starting on January 15. According to him, the TV adaption would be enjoyable for new and old fans alike.

Neil, then thanked his fans for their continued support and appreciation for their work.

Naughty Dog has established itself as one of the pillars of the gaming industry. And they owe almost all their success to The Last of Us franchise.
