Ubisoft Reveals Star Wars Outlaws Roadmap, But Not Everyone Is Happy

Season Pass for a single-player entry does rub some people the wrong way.

The roadmap includes a lot of post-launch content, like exclusive missions, story packs, and more.
It was well-received for the most part, but some players are unhappy with the paid Season Pass reveal.

In a new blog post, Ubisoft has revealed the Star Wars Outlaws roadmap. The post-launch roadmap provides details for the Season Pass content, confirming two new story packs, an exclusive mission, a character pack, and two cosmetic bundles. The mission and the character pack will be available after launch. However, the first story pack will launch in fall 2024, followed by the second pack in spring 2025.

The exclusive mission is dubbed “Jabba’s Gambit,” but Ubisoft ensures that all the other players will still get to meet the character during their open-world escapades.

Two upcoming story packs are included in the Season Pass, and will also be available for standalone purchase. At launch, Season Pass owners will obtain the Kessel Runner character pack with outfits for scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion, Nix, and get access to an exclusive mission called ‘Jabba’s Gambit,'” reads the description.

Not Every Player Is Happy About The Paid Season Pass Reveal

While the general consensus is largely positive for many reasons, there are still numerous players who are unhappy with the roadmap reveal. Seeing the announcement of a paid DLC for a single-player title even before it’s out has made some cancel their pre-orders. And knowing Ubisoft’s previous track record, a good chunk is also willing to wait for Star Wars Outlaws to go on sale after launch before grabbing it.
