Twitter user MondoMega has recently discovered listings for various Nintendo 64 titles as well as Sega Genesis titles through datamining. MondoMega has discovered that there are at least 38 titles planned for the Nintendo 64 and a whopping 52 games for the SEGA Genesis.
It hasn’t been confirmed by Nintendo whether more games will be added anytime soon or not, but this is certainly very good to know. Here’s also hoping that Nintendo can also polish up their emulation by the time they start rolling out more games into this ecosystem. The games currently present through their service are as follows:
Nintendo 64:
1. Dr Mario 64
2 .Mario Kart 64
3. Mario Tennis
4. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
5. Sin and Punishment
6. Super Mario 64
7. Star Fox 64
8. WINBACK: Covert Operations
9. Yoshi’s Story
Sega Genesis:
1. Castlevania Bloodlines
2. Contra Hard Corps
3. Dr.Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
4. Ecco The Dolphin
5. Golden Axe
6. Gunstar Heroes
7. M.U.S.H.A
8. Phantasy Star 4: The End of The Millenium
9. Ristar
10 .Shining Force
11. Shinobi 3
12. Sonic The Hedgehog 2
13. Streets of Rage 2
14. Strider
While the initial line-up is pretty generous to start with, it’s going to be nice having the list expanded in the near future
Nintendo’s new service launched to a rocky start earlier this week with many users reporting tons of issues throughout various platforms around the internet. Many users reported issues like sound delays, odd button mapping, texture issues, distorted music, etc. Which, for a service charging $49.99 for a glorified emulator, is frankly pretty embarrassing. Nintendo hasn’t given an official response to these criticisms yet and it’s not known yet when these issues would be fixed.
