The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Inducted In Video Game Hall Of Fame

Its influence on the RPG genre is something that one can’t quantify. At the time of its original release in 1998, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was highly popular in the world. Players bought the very famous Nintendo 64 (N64) console just to play this game that everyone was talking about. The game sold 7 million copies and wrote itself into gaming folklore. Recently, the game is getting a reward for all of these achievements from The Strong National Museum of Play.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has recently been inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame by The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, United States. The museum described this new induction in a video that was posted on its channel on YouTube. From its open-world environment to its game design, the game was certainly a step ahead of other games in that era.

Its influence on the future of video games is also something that makes it worthy of this induction. Many young developers and producers played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at a young age.  Hence, the game inspired a whole generation of artists and influenced their creations. Without it, players might not have seen many of the great games they play now. So, this induction is definitely based on merit and the game is worth it.

Its influence surpasses imagination and so many developers have based their projects on it. Many players started their journey into the gaming world due to this classic masterpiece. All in all, players are very delighted that one of the most earth-shattering games in history is getting its place among the best.
