Someone Created A New Boss Fight In Halo Infinite’s Forge Mode

Using the advanced scripting capabilities of Halo Infinite's Forge mode, a YouTuber has managed to make a new boss.

It seems there is no end to the capabilities of Halo Infinite‘s Forge mode or the creativity of its fans and content creators. We have seen heaps of ambitious projects and fan-made creations in Halo Infinite’s Forge mode, such as the Mario Lava level, and a lone fan’s quest to make their own Battle Royale mode right inside Forge, to name a few.

Now we can add another ambitious undertaking to the list. YouTuber Klen has successfully created a basic boss in Forge using its advanced scripting capabilities.

Major Takeaways:

  • A fan has made a basic boss in Halo Infinite’s Forge mode.
  • They will further refine the script and continue to work on it.

Halo Infinite’s Forge has significantly more advanced scripting capabilities than previous mode versions. For instance, it’s possible to create scripts that make objects dispense powerups, automatically flip vehicles upright when they tip over, and spawn in “airstrikes” that drop explosive fusion coils on the map when activated.

It is thanks to its scripting capabilities that Klen has managed to achieve this amazing feat, and credit goes to Rebs Gaming for spotting this.

As can be seen, the boss is fairly basic. It floats in the air and its only attack is to throw what appear to be Fusion Coils from the game. Klen describes in the video that the boss’ weak point is the “Eye” like structure in the middle, that it is temporarily invincible in the second phase, and its rate of fire increases over time.

At the end of the video, Klen goes into detail regarding how they made the boss, how it was their first attempt at scripting, and how they intend to improve it going on.

This is no doubt an amazing accomplishment and a testament to not only the awe-inspiring Halo community but also how capable Forge is. Forge will also now have a supposed Test Mode to check and test scripts that people will make in Forge, and it will be explained by Forge’s Lead Designer Michael Schorr.

Along with the still prevalent horrible matchmaking issues that are plaguing the players, there are other complaints from the community as well, such as the lack of content, especially maps. Previous Halo games had many iconic maps but Infinite seems to be lacking.

Halo Infinite’s Forge will come a long way in curing the game’s many ailments regarding the lack of content, as it will hand all the necessary tools into the hands of the players themselves.

Halo Infinite is not a small name in gaming, same as the Halo series is not unknown to many. Halo launched right alongside the first Xbox console among its first exclusives and took the world by storm. It quickly became one of the premier first-person shooters of the time, with its captivating story, likable characters, and thrilling gameplay.

With the release of Halo 2, Halo became a household name among console owners. Leveraging the newly launched Xbox Live services and online features of Xbox consoles, it was quickly propelled to stardom.

Not only was the gameplay vastly improved, but the story also was quite brilliant and enthralling, not to mention the multiplayer component garnering the most acclaim.

Halo 2 greatly contributed to the popularity of online console gaming but in particular, first-person shooting games. Subsequent Halo games also had their own contributions that made them great games.

A very crucial component of Halo games was Forge. Forge is basically a level editor that was launched with Halo 3 and received critical acclaim for its versatility and ease of use. Forge allowed players to create their own maps and a variety of other things. Thus, community-driven development meant there was no shortage of content.

Regrettably, Halo Infinite did not have Forge upon launch for a long time and though it is to be released later, the fact that it wasn’t present upon launch coupled with the lack of content in halo Infinite made players disappointed in the game. It was later leaked and that has led to the many fan creations we are seeing.

Halo Infinite has a long way to go if wishes to rise to the level of its predecessor, and with management changes happening, it is sure to affect the, though we hope the effect is positive.
