PS Plus Users Can Now Redeem One Of The Best Final Fantasy Games For Free

Who doesn’t love freebies, especially when they’re AAA-grade, super high-quality, and offer one of the most memorable story experiences of all time? It turns out that due to some stroke of luck, Final Fantasy 16 — the 2023-released PS5 exclusive, which is now on PC too by the way, — has been added to the PlayStation Plus library, allowing existing subscribers to get going with it without paying a dime extra.

This was recently corroborated by Zuby_Tech on X, along with a couple of other prominent accounts. I then logged into my PS5 and personally confirmed it as well. It’s there, but I’m not sure if this is due to an error or anything of the sort because surely, a game like this landing on the membership program warrants an announcement.

Scouring through Reddit, I’ve noticed that Final Fantasy 16 getting added to PS Plus is a region-specific thing at the moment, because many users are not able to see that shiny “Included” label on their end, meaning the offer’s not for them. 

I’ve also subscribed to PS Plus Premium, but others, who have PlayStation Plus Extra, have spotted Final Fantasy 16 showing up as a PS Plus game as well. Folks on Twitter seem to be corroborating the same. 

Final Fantasy 16 is an absolute blast of a game, and for those who haven’t tried it out yet, you’ve got a treat heading your way, if you can manage to redeem it for free, that is. eXputer reviewed the Square Enix action-adventure, rating it 5/5, with author Usama Mehmood remarking,
