Flops are no rare thing in the gaming industry. Sometimes games do not perform to the level expected from them commercially and financially. But, even the most underperforming games make some kind of money and stay in the picture for a while.
This is not the case with the Square Enix and Platinum Games disaster Babylon’s Fall. It won’t be wrong to say that the RPG has been one of the biggest flops in gaming history. From its opening day player count to overwhelmingly negative reception, the game hasn’t had one good day.
A few days ago, Square Enix announced that the game will have no support after February 2023. Babylon’s Fall came out in March 2022 so ending support in less than a year shows how much of a failure it is. Now, GameStop has also started taking measures to get rid of the game.
Major Takeaway:
- GameStop is throwing out Babylon’s Fall from its stores
- This decision comes after Square Enix announced the game will have no support after February 2023
- Players can purchase the game for cheap if they hurry
Babylon’s Fall is being removed from all GameStop stores across the US. Cheap Ass Gamer on Twitter, who is a credible source of video game sales, first broke this news. According to him, the game is getting thrown out of all GameStop locations.
News: Babylon’s Fall is Being Removed at GameStop Store Locations. If you want a free case and coaster, maybe find one before a GameStop employee gets around to tossing it into the dumpster. They might just let you have it after they scan it. pic.twitter.com/mglPO22eky

So, if you want to get a very cheap copy of the title, you can go to a local GameStop and buy it. Babylon’s Fall won’t be available for long so you need to act quickly if you want a really cheap copy. Who knows, they might even let you have it for free.
Cheap Ass Gamer also gave the same advice to all of his followers. One reply on the original Tweet actually did what he said and got a free copy of Babylon’s Fall. Hence, you should try out your luck too, playing or not playing it is another question.

GameStop is throwing out the game a bit earlier as it doesn’t go offline until February 27, 2023. So, getting a free copy and playing notorious Babylon’s Fall for yourself doesn’t seem like a bad idea. You might even get a free coaster to go with it.
However, all of this is a very damning indictment of how bad the game has turned out. Players didn’t deserve such a mess from Square Enix and Platinum Games. Hopefully, both of the companies will take it as a lesson so a mess like Babylon’s Fall never happens again.
