The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Spanish Dub Is In The Works

Nintendo of Latin America announced this development as the world awaits the sequel's first trailer.

Nintendo is one of the godfathers of the gaming industry. It’s the oldest company of the big 3 and has been dominating the gaming landscape for decades now.

During that time, Nintendo made some terrific games besides some terrific consoles, but probably the most popular among its original creations is The Legend of Zelda.

The franchise is one of the most significant in gaming history and has several greatest-video-game-ever contenders. One of them is Breath of the Wild, whose anticipated sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, is coming out next year. Now, a new update from Nintendo of Latin America has told us that the Spanish dub of the game is underway.

Major Takeaways

  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Spanish dub is under work.
  • Nintendo of Latin America announced this new development in a Facebook and Instagram video.
  • Fans are hoping that this means the trailer of the game is not far away.

The Latin American page of Nintendo announced this via a video on their Facebook and Instagram pages. Although the choice of social media site used is weird, they gave us some pretty big info. Spanish dubbing of the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the kingdom has now officially started.

Its importance is due to the fact most games start the dubbing process when the game development is complete.

You don’t see any studio working with voice actors to dub lines before they even know what is going to be in the final game. Tears of the Kingdom like other Zelda games will also be dubbed in several languages like Japanese, French, Korean Etcetera.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had 13 languages including dialects in the official version from Nintendo. Spanish was just one of these languages and most probably same will be the case with Tears of Kingdom. Hence, any fear that the game is going to undergo any delay should be quelled now.

Spanish voice actors of Revali and Zelda, Marc Navarro, and Nerea Alfonso said two years ago that they had recorded their lines for the game.

In an interview with Un café con Nintendo, the actors said that they had done their work on, as known back then, Breath of the Wild 2. Most probably, the story of the game was complete back in 2022 but other things on Tears of the Kingdom took time to develop.

GameReactor also quotes this reason in their original article and Breath of the Wild also had several delays. However, we know the official release date of the game unlike back then. Barring any unfortunate delays, Tears of the Kingdom will release in May 2023.

Starting the dubbing process is a sign of that as they are finally implementing the lines to the final game. This news is also important concerning the Trailer of the sequel, which is yet to come out. Nintendo releases the trailers with all of the dubbing languages available for people in different regions.

Hopefully, the start of the dubbing process means we will get to see this trailer very soon. Most of the time the trailer releases 4 or 5 months before the official release, making it February or January this time around. Hopefully, we do see it sooner rather than later as everybody wants to see Tears of the Kingdom in action.
