Marvel’s Avengers brought high hopes along when its first in-game footage was revealed back at E3 2019. It’s safe to say that the prospect hasn’t ended well for either side of the spectrum, with Square Enix losing money and gamers having their expectations shattered. The publisher aimed to release “Exclusive Additional Content” to revitalize sales for the game, but the experience so far has still been dismal.
What initially seemed to be a beacon of hope for Marvel’s Avengers fans in terms of bug fixes, new features, and other improvements, has turned out to exacerbate the current state of affairs instead. The superhero RPG was recently updated with the V1.8.0 patch and that is where trouble has sprung up.
All those trying to stream the game have been shocked to notice that their IP address is displayed on-screen after the recent update. The official Twitter handle of the game has addressed this horrendous albeit in a conservative fashion.

“We’re aware of the issue where a floating string of text appears on the screen and are investigating. Thank you for the reports!” Definitely not the correct choice of words as people have remarked, and called out the developer for not appropriately acknowledging their disastrous hiccup.
If you stream Marvel’s Avengers, consider staying off that scene until the calamity at hand has been tended to. This could be the doing of a bug in the just-out update.
