New stats for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have revealed that the easiest boss in the game, Rick the Door Technician, actually killed 489 players. The brave stormtrooper appears in the game many hours in but you only need one strike to dispatch him. But, it seems like almost 500 players weren’t able to land a single successful strike on this whimsical boss and died as a result.

Rick the Door Technician appears as a gag in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor deep into the game when you have probably mastered the controls. He charges at Cal with a health bar reflecting that of a boss and has no backup. Considering how this takes place right after a huge arena battle with stormtroopers, Rick does seem like a normal boss at first. But, as soon as he approaches you, Cal can kill him with just one strike of his Ligthsaber.
Therefore, Rick the Door Technician is supposed to be a light prank on the player in a very serious part of the game. As a result, it is beyond comprehension how someone can die at the hands of this really easy “boss“. Most probably, most of this number died at the hands of the stormtrooper just as an experiment. One YouTuber did exactly this to show what happens if the technician actually kills you in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
As seen in the video, after he kills you, Rick just says “I’ll get a commendation for this.” Hence, if you died out of curiosity you are forgiven, but if the Technician genuinely defeated you, there needs to be a conversation. Cal can also spare the poor stormtrooper’s life and progress just by flinging him to another platform through the force. Hence, killing isn’t the only option here and the brave soldier can survive the gag.
Other stats in the Twitter post from EA Star Wars told us how the Rancor defeated over nine million players in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Furthermore, players preferred the white lightsaber color the most, and over 50% of the users played the game at “Jedi Knight” difficulty. Players defeated over 2.8 billion enemies in the game and unclogged Greez’s toilet 861 thousand times.
However, only 11.5% of the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players were able to discover Cal’s Ponch per the stats. And, most importantly, 100% of the game’s players loved Turgle, who isn’t a turtle but actually a frog. You can do all of this and much more by playing the Electronic Arts title developed by Respawn right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
