Story Highlights
- Black Myth: Wukong is an upcoming action Soulslike, releasing later this month for modern hardware.
- The game just had one of its major cutscenes leak online, one that showcases minor spoilers.
- Other than the cutscene leak, other details pertaining to the plot and gameplay were also outed.
As Black Myth: Wukong finds itself on most people’s wishlists these days given the action-adventure Soulslike RPG looks forward to a late-August release, a leaked cutscene from the game has started to circulate online in recent times. Unfortunately, the footage is low-res — as most clips of this nature are — and there’s no audio either. Still, it gives away some elements of Wukong’s overall plot and story.
The leaked Black Myth: Wukong video has been uploaded on Gofile for public viewership, and appears to be recorded on mobile. At the time of writing, the clip has had over 6,000 downloads.
Other Black Myth: Wukong Leaks Have Followed
Another post, that Redditor u/Ajxtt was able to take notice of, lets players into a lot more detail regarding Black Myth: Wukong’s plot, gameplay, maps, and bosses. However, do take the following information with a pinch of salt, because I cannot confirm the veracity of its source.
Warning: Potential spoilers ahead.
There’s the involvement of Princess Iron Fan, a prominent villain in Journey to the West, which is a popular Chinese novel from the 16th century and what Black Myth: Wukong is heavily based on, and it’s been rumored that the title will feature a total of 15 maps, with accompanying bosses. Moreover, there are similarities to FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice observed in-game, and “NPC interactions” will influence the way Black Myth: Wukong ends.
