Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ Coming To PC In May

One niche of gaming that isn’t talked about that much is rhythm games. You’ve probably heard about the popular ones like Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution. However, there is a huge catalog of underrated rhythm games which are built for fun.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA games are one of these rhythm game series that are really great. The games are based on the character of Hatsune Miku and the series is very popular in Japan. As of now, they are only available on the PlayStation 4 but that might be changing very soon.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA is releasing on PC this May, according to new information found on SteamDB. It is seemingly going to be a collection because the official name on SteamDB is Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+.

So, SEGA is most probably bringing all of the Project DIVA games onto PC in one go. The release date is also not very far, as SteamDB lists the release for May 26th. Bear in mind that there has been no official announcement of this as of now.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA is still only officially available on the PlayStation and Nintendo consoles but nowhere else. Hence, the information on SteamDB suggests that an official release of the rhythm game series may finally be coming to PC, almost 13 years after the first game’s release.

The backstory behind the game is sort of wacky, considering how the main character is actually a Vocaloid system. Virtual diva, Hatsune Miku, is the main star of this game and this Vocaloid system is responsible for singing all the songs. It’s the first game in history to use such a Vocaloid software.

Rhythm games are very big on PC and with the loyal fan base that the game has, there is no doubt that it will find success. It is a bit sad to see that the game is not coming out on the Xbox consoles alongside PC. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is dropping on May 26th on Steam, according to SteamDB. Hopefully, we hear an official announcement regarding the game soon.
