Virtual Reality, or more famously, VR has been prophesied as the next big thing in gaming for some time now. Even though it has failed to dethrone conventional gaming, it’s still seen as the future.
Oculus, a subsidiary of Facebook, has mostly taken over the VR market, and now, with the launch of Meta Quest Pro, they are set to expand it to AR.
Meta Quest Pro is designed not only for gamers, as is the case with previous VR headsets launched by Oculus, but instead, it’s mainly aimed at businesses wanting to diversify and increase their productivity in VR and AR. This is in line with Facebook’s efforts to mainstream VR and AR.
Quest Pro will still be compatible with all old VR gaming accessories and will be able to run VR games smoothly.
Now one month before the official launch, the supposed images of Quest Pro were posted on Facebook. A Facebook employee forgot the engineering sample, that’s exclusively given to only a selected few, in their hotel room. It was found by a hotel employee who posted the photos on an Oculus Quest group on FB.
The authenticity of the photos was reinforced even more after a reviewer and Youtuber NathieVR, well-known and respected in the VR world reposted these photos on Twitter.

The photos don’t show much other than the packaging. The VR aficionados would be very grateful if the said hotel employee had posted photos of the actual product rather than teasing them with a few photos of boxes.
Meta Quest Pro is gossiped to be launched in October with the price rumored to be between $1200 to $1500. According to Brad Lynch, a respected VR insider, pre-orders will be available during Meta CEO Mark Zuckerburg’s keynote speech during Meta Connect.
