Story Highlights
- The PlayStation Store has brought forth a special weekend deal out of nowhere for fans and players.
- This is one of the best weekend discounts I’ve seen in a fair bit of time, discounting many AAAs.
- Games such as Lies of P, both A Plague Tale titles, and Hi-Fi Rush have had generous price cuts.
Fresh off the heels of the PlayStation Mid-Year Sale, the PlayStation Store now enjoys another mouth-watering sales promotional, discounting more than 100 different games, with many of them being AAA in stature. I’ll be honest: This is one of the better sales events I’ve seen in a fair bit of time, featuring some solid steals and amazing games that are literally coming for dirt-cheap prices right now.
I’ve gone ahead and compiled some of the more prominent deals on the storefront, so you don’t have to put in the work yourself. However, you’re free to check the full list here in case there’s something else that could entice you.
Fantastic Games, Even Better Discounts
Feel free to post a comment down below if you spot a discounted deal worth mentioning here.
1. Lies of P
With a cool 30% off its MSRP, Lies of P currently retails for about $42, which, in my opinion, is decent pricing for a game of this stature. It’s genuinely one of the best Soulslikes to have been released in recent times, certainly a lot better than its counterparts such as Lords of the Fallen. Thank God it became a commercial success following its release, selling over 7 million copies.
That way, the devs and the publisher could look toward a Lies of P sequel, which by the way, has already been confirmed, along with DLC for the existing game. eXputer reviewed the title and rated it 3.5/5.0, with author Hanzala Iftikhar remarking,
In a sea of weak non-FromSoftware attempts at the Souls formula, Lies of P lands with a bang and raises the bar for all future entries.”

2. Red Dead Redemption 2
Rockstar Games pulled no punches with Red Dead Redemption 2 and it shows. Quite honestly, I’ve grown tired of recommending this title time and time again on different occasions, but then again, it’s something that must be done, considering the quality on display here. It’s a whopping 67% off at the moment, so you can get it for a few cents short of $20. That’s the best 20 bucks you can spend this day.
eXputer’s revised review of the game holds it in high regard, with author Obaid ur Rehman rating it 4.5/5.0 and remarking,
Even after five years, Red Dead Redemption 2 stands at the top next to new AAA titles, so it is still not too late to experience its greatness.”

3. Dying Light 2
One of my personal favorites, Dying Light 2 is a lot more than just your money’s worth at $23.99. It’s a dream realized by everyone who wants a greatly executed free-form sandbox with tons of zombies to play with, weapons to pick up, and rooftops to parkour through like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve poured in a thousand hours into this one, and rest assured because I’m still not anywhere near bored with it.
eXputer’s 4.5/5.0 review of Dying Light 2 praises its fantastic open-world setting, enjoyable combat, and impressive visuals.

4. Hi-Fi Rush
No matter what platform Hi-Fi Rush guitars its way to, it’s always going to remain a proper blast. The popular rhythm-action game is off by 40% on the PlayStation Store right now, and that’s all the more reason to pick it up and immerse yourself into a comedic, amusing world full of interesting characters, remarkable gameplay, and an amazing art direction.
Such a shame Tango Gameworks is getting canned by Microsoft though. Extremely unjust and undeserving.

5. A Plague Tale Bundle
What’s better than one A Plague Tale game? Two A Plague Tale games, definitely. The bundle in question gets you the series’ best for $32 a pop, giving you your ticket to dive into a beautifully crafted world and a heartrending story. The sequel, in particular, has to be given an honest shot. It’s a tragedy it remained so underrated throughout time, because those who’ve played it, know the standard of the title at hand.
eXputer reviewed A Plague Tale: Requiem and gave it a 3.5/5.0 rating, citing the performance issues as the major negative at launch while praising just about everything else.
A Plague Tale Requiem had been one of my most highly anticipated games of the year, and despite suffering from major performance issues, the game is an absolute delight to play from start to finish.”
- Get it on the PS Store.
6. Mass Effect Legendary Edition
As far as RPGs go, there’s not a universe out there where the Mass Effect trilogy does not rank at the top of every other western role-playing game. Talk about unpredictability, amazing dialogue, fantastic writing, and, of course, entertaining gameplay that keeps players hooked throughout the three Mass Effect games. And the best part? The entire trilogy is for $9 right now, which is, well, quite ridiculous. Just trust me and get it.
