Nyan Heroes Is Hosting An eXputer Exclusive Q&A Play Session

9 Lives Interactive is collaborating with eXputer for its upcoming title, Nyan Heroes, to release a sneak peek of playtest 4. This short sneak peek will allow players to chat and compete with Nyan Heroes Senior Community Manager Tyler Nolin and Principal Technical Game Designer, Tom Bolton.

Playtest 4 will officially be available between March 26 to April 14, but this sneak peek will allow players to interact with the devs and experience the new content on March 25 at 7PM ET through Epic Games.

How To Join

Players will be able to join with special codes available via Nyan Heroes official Discord server, so keep your eyes on the announcement. For more exclusive information and an introduction on what’s to come, the studio will soon release its video to guide the players. eXputer will add the video here as soon as it is uploaded.

For those uninitiated, Nyan Heroes is a passion project of veteran developers who have worked on notable titles like Halo, Destiny, World of Tanks, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Call of Duty, Ghost Recon, and more. It was, at one point, the #1 Most Wishlisted on the Epic Games Store, and has nearly 1 million community hours in the playtests so far.

Playtest 4 will bring a plethora of new content for players to enjoy, including a new hero, a game mode, and a map.

New Hero: Coco The Pilot

Coco is the upcoming hero with very interesting lore and some cool abilities, which are:

• Augment: Deploy Turrets – Build turrets that shoot at enemies. These help protect his team or make it harder for enemies to get close.
• Main Ability: Magnetic Platform – Make a floating platform that vertically elevates his teammates up high. This helps them see better, reach higher spots, or get away from danger.
• Passive: Scavenger – Picks up scraps from enemies he and his team defeats. He uses these scraps to make his armor stronger and keep his team safer.
• Ultimate: Scrap Goliath – Build a giant version of himself that throws out metal pieces. These pieces explode to hurt enemies and give extra armor to his teammates for a short time.

New Map: Tokyo

After the Guardian Uprising, many Feral Guardian HQs were set up around major cities around the world in for strategic control. Tokyo, a city of much historical and cultural significance to the Nyans, was one of the last bastions of defense mounted against the feral robot uprising.

Recovering the lost city of Tokyo will be no easy feat. As such, through Battledome technology, this training simulation emphasizes vertical movement, urban guerrilla tactics, and precise coordination in tight spaces. No one truly knows what changes the feral robots have made to the once-beautiful city, so a fast-paced arena battle has been created to prioritize familiarity and adaptability to any situation.

New Game Mode: Fishball

Fishball is a fast-paced, competitive game mode inspired by Call of Duty’s Uplink, where teams battle to score points by carrying or throwing the ball into the opponent’s goal. Matches are played over two rounds (or one if the map allows), with the first team to reach the most points wins. If time runs out, tiebreakers based on kills and damage determine the victor, and a Sudden Death mode ensures a decisive finish.
