In my opinion, the only thing that stops the Lachmann-556 from being the best Assault Rifle in the game is its handling, as the developers had to add some downsides to this weapon somehow. Some players may need some practice getting used to the weapon handling, but with the proper attachments, you can become near unstoppable with this weapon.

In the tactical category, I recommend selecting the “Stim” because it is never a bad thing to have the extra heals in your inventory. You never know when during the end of the match, your opponent gets lucky enough to get the jump to you, and you would need an urgent heal to clutch it and survive.

Lethal

In the lethal category, I use the equipment that every FPS fan loves. The explosive mine is none other than the Claymore as it is an extremely useful item when you want to hold up in a specific area.

Since you will be shooting your enemies from afar anyway with your Lachmann-556 in Warzone, it will be extremely frustrating if an enemy sneaks up on you from behind, so you can strategically place the Claymore to cover your back as well.

Perks Package

I recommend using the Commando Package or the Weapons Specialist Package as they contain all the perks you’ll need to create the best Lachmann-556 loadout in COD Warzone 2.0.

The Scavenger perk will allow you to resupply ammo and collect extra plates from dead players, and it is always preferred to stock up on both of these items.
The Strong Arm perk will allow you to throw your equipment, such as grenades, farther; it will also allow you to see a preview of the trajectory.
The Fast Hands perk will allow you to reload your gun and use your equipment more quickly, and it will also allow you to swap your weapons faster.
The High Alert perk is extremely useful when your focus is on your scope while aiming at faraway enemies, as this perk will subtly alert you through vision pulses.

Secondary Weapon

As far as secondary weapons go, from my experience, I will say that players should choose whichever weapon type they are most comfortable with, whether it is snipers, shotguns, or submachine guns. Of course, without the overkill perk, players will be limited to only a few weapon types, such as handguns and RPGs, but even handguns can pack quite a punch with the proper attachments.

The Lachmann-556 is one of the versatile options that I found in the Assault Rifle category. You can customize the weapon for almost any type of range and the results will be quite reliable. Although it has slightly slow firing rate I am truly impressed by its lethal damage that makes this weapon a close-range beast.
