Rise Of The Ronin: How To Defeat The Blue Demon

The Blue Demon in Rise of the Ronin is encountered during the Infiltrating The Black Ship mission. For story-related purposes, you’re supposed to get defeated by the Blue Demon, and he’s actually so strong during the first encounter that it is almost impossible to beat him. This whole situation is much like Sekiro’s prologue, in which Genichiro is supposed to beat the player during their first encounter.

First Encounter With The Blue Demon

As I’ve already mentioned above, the first encounter with the Blue Demon happens during the second main mission known as the Infiltrating The Black Ship. The Blue Demon arrives after you beat Matthew Perry, and he actually tries to save Matthew. No matter what I tried during this section, I could not beat the Blue Demon even with the easy difficulty setting.

The Blue Demon is really strong here, and the Blade Twins are just not leveled enough to deal enough damage at this point in the game. What I do recommend, though, is to replay the Infiltrating The Black Ship mission once the ability to replay missions unlocks in Rise of the Ronin. The best part is that I was extremely high-level and replayed the mission with easy difficulty, which allowed me to defeat the Blue Demon easily.

• Tears of a Blue Demon: This is a trophy in Rise of the Ronin, which is obtained by killing the Blue Demon in your first encounter. Again, you can easily obtain the trophy by replaying the mission at a high level and on easy difficulty.

Second Encounter

Without spoiling the plot, you will encounter the Blue Demon one more time after the initial sections. It happens quite late in Rise of the Ronin, and you will come across this boss again during Damsel in Distress, a main mission. Thankfully, you will be leveled up during this encounter and will also have allies alongside you, which will make the fight much more balanced than it was during the first encounter.
